Armor coatings should change

I really hope they change how armor coatings work. Right now, it sucks really, really bad. When I first heard about it, I got a tiny little bit excited to get something similar to Destiny 2.
This is just awful. Yeah, some armor coating can be really cool and stuff, but the whole concept is trash when they make it limited to one friggin armor core. WHY ON EARTH CAN’t ARMOR COATINGS BE FOR ALL CORES?!?
WHY? JUST WHY??
From the beginning coatings should be for all armor cores, at launch. Why is it so difficult to make it for all armor cores, when you at all decide to go for armor coating system?
You remove the normal color customization and you don’t even nail the new one?
When you chose to go for armor coating system and don’t make it crosscore: that’s just dumb.

And one final thing, really wish you could just make and coating editor like forge, just for colors. In that way it would be better.
Because all the limited options right now, sucks.
Like cmon.

Edit:
Yeah, I know they have said they are going to fix it.
But I’m just so frustrated when I saw the weekly challenge was for one armor core.
If they said they were going to change it, they should stop producing coatings for just one armor core and make the reward for all armor cores. EVERY NEW COATING THEY MAKE should be for all armor cores. It’s just so frustrating to watch they fall in their same mistakes again and again.
Normal people learn from mistakes and improves, this is embarrasing.

Coatings should’ve been cross-core from the start, I’m confused as to why anyone at 343i thought selling the colour red multiple times would excite people, they created a problem & are selling the solution

I think the best compromise is to bring back the ability to pick our own primary & secondary colours & have coatings be the premium option to purchase & earn, but this is beyond wishful thinking on my part

I’ll just settle for cross-core customization at this point. ಠ_ಠ

i agree, and to quite literally add to your words,

they should make the flat colors/colours
“black-grey-white-brown-green-cyan-blue-purple-pink-red-orange-yellow” accessible for anyone no matter progress in the game

an idea i think would work (#* = unlockable + how hard to unlock rating from 0-9 + B @ end if buyable)
unlockable paint styles
#6spotty B
#4battle worn B
#8glossy
#4rough B
#9neon

maybe even if they included unlockable variants of paint jobs so you have 2/3 choices of primary and secondary zones in the coatings #8/9

and then other variants of premade coatings (example army camos#7 B)
and coatings that are outside of primary and secondary location zones to be unlocked or brought

by making it so some things can only be unlocked and somethings can only be brought, it will give players a new reason to continue playing the game, altho things that can only be brought should not count towards 100% completion of unlockable’s

i wont deny 343 has done amazing with halo infinite. but i do agree seems some people in the team took advantage of the trends and broke some of the branches, but it defo has gone back to some of its roots in many ways,

343 if you read this. keep up the good work. i think you guys are almost there! halos good again! lets make it GREAT!!

I’m sure the person who made that decision is gone. The fact that they have too look at how to do it means it’s built into each coating rather then just a checkbox to turn it off/on.
I mean, watchdog is universal, but the nail polish coating isn’t…

So this kind of chaos is probably what 343 is “protecting” us from.
