Or, wild idea here but, or we could just have primary and seconadary colours.
Armor Coatings like Camo prints or Tiger prints or whatever weird prints can be universal.
Totally agree with you.
Which ironically goes against their entire plan of expanding Halo Infinite as the THE HALO GAME for the next decade.
Why focus on short term profits on a game you intend to generate revenue with over the next 10 years? Especially in a way which sucks the fun and joy out of your fanbase?
They should just sell those special materials, patterns, and exotic/pearlescent colors instead of coatings. Let us pick primary/secondary like all the other games, but just with the basic colors unless we unlock the special ones.
Just give us Warhammer 40K Space Marineās customization, but with the metallics and fancy stuff like that locked to be microtransactions or special unlocks.
I would buy those if they were like $5 each. Maybe $10 because of the customizability.
exactly, thereās so much more value to a metallic gold color option that can be applied to any individual area on your armor wherever you prefer it to be than 10 different skins that have a metallic gold in different places, cuz someoneās only gonna buy one, MAYBE two of those specific skins anyways, but theyāll buy multiple different special colors to put into different color slots, even if itās more expensive per color than a full coating.
Destiny 2 has the same system more or less and just lets you apply them to any piece of your armor, weapon, ship, and Sparrow. Also gives you tons for free and arenāt cash purchases. Halo Infinite should learn from that and move forward.
The fact that Bots can do it proves that the feature does exist in the game.
Theyāve turned it off for us so that weāre more likely to buy X helmet from the store to go with the rest of the Spartan we have curated.
Call me cynical, but what if itās been rolled out this way to milk the milkables, so that later they can āuntuckā ā the segregation box and then be like āhey, we listened to you, love us againā.
I hate that I find myself coming to such conclusions, but the way the suits have smothered this game, I wouldnāt surprise me.
Also: You should only have to unlock an emblem once. You shouldnāt have to unlock an emblem separately for vehicle, armor, weapon, ect
Yeah itās kind of crazy. We really need better customization options.
They tried this in Halo 5 too, but nobody ever talks about that!
I feel the same way. I can understand armor pieces from separate armor cores not being able to be used together. Itād probably take a lot of work to make sure the meshes donāt clip and look awful. Although Iād love to see wacked out armor combinations, I get that it could potentially out of hand.
However, armor coatings being unique only to specific armor cores is ridiculous. Youāre telling me Iād have to buy a bog standard color like red or blue every time I find an armor core I like? And at $7-8 a piece? Itās just inexcusable to me.
Sure, having to fine tune every single armor coating for every single armor core could take up a lot of time in the long run. Iām of course not familiar enough with 343ās work process to make that judgement (though if I had to take a guess, I imagine itās not too much to ask). But locking each individual, basic color for every armor core behind a paywall is too far for me to defend at all.
tl;dr: Iād love armor coatings to apply to all armor cores. Singular basic colors being locked behind $7-8 paywalls for each armor core is ridiculous.
The coating system was made with the idea to be universal. There is no reason you canāt use a coating on everything other than the fact they want to resell you the same coating multiple times. You can even test it out on the Waypoint app.
Universl application for coatings and visors is my biggest gripe with cosmetics in this game. Unlocking their application would immediately bump their value as now the bundle you bought has broader application. Kits exclusive coating and visor should also be allowed for use outside of the kit.
No they donāt lol. Please donāt spout flat out BS on the forums.
