Armor coating is just more work

The armor coating system/core system is just redundant and adds way more work for the coders/modelers of the game as if you have 1 type of color and have it go on 3 cores, its just so much more work of having to put it all on model

seriously 343, you’re giving yourself more work down the line instead of just having the “core system” be one set of armor and such, seriously why do i need 3 SEPERATE CORES for 1 color

This is response to the fire and frost set in store, also F store

Actually, they don’t have to design the coating three times. The mask system understands how to apply any coating to any core. The harder part about the coating is very likely creating the new textures/patterns, but once you do, they work for any core.

Want proof? Which coating do you want to see on what core? Let’s say I want to see Cloven Seafoam on MK V [B]. So I equip MK V [B] (in game or in the Waypoint app), then I open up the waypoint app. Next, I go to customize. I then scroll over to MK VII and hit modify. Once I do that, I then try and equip Cloven Seafoam (don’t worry if you haven’t unlocked it). Lastly, I hit body up at the top of the app, and boom:

Yeah, pretty much. Bots can do crosscore too, the Waypoint glitch is just more specific.

Well, I mean, Destiny 2 does the exact same thing for free. Why 343 feels the need to monetize this is beyond me.

probably cuz investors and producers wanted money out the -Yoink!-, honestly this is just so frustrating and should of just stayed a 60 dollar part of the game so we got better customization

Oh, I’m sure there are clueless dudes in suits who don’t care about fan concerns or even the devs own concerns. But make no mistake, this was a system still designed by 343 to be part of a F2P model.
