Armor changing

I was in a custom game today and somebody’s armor changed in front of me, as in new armor and helmet, they didn’t leave the game or anything like that, they stopped moving for a bit, it changed, they started moving again. How do you do that?

What game was for and do you have a clip of it happening?

Do you remember what armor they had and switched too? If they had recruit at any point the game may have just lagged out and chose recruit a placeholder.

It didn’t change to Recruit, don’t remember the exact armor but I know it wasn’t recruit

Actually looking back it it, you are half right. The person was wearing nightfall helmet and a armor I can’t name, temporarily became the full recruit placeholder you spoke of and then re appeared with the Sam unnamable armor but a helljumper helmet

Are you 100% it was the Nightfall helmet and not Helljumper? Cause if it was the Helljumper helmet the game may have lagged out then reloaded the player’s armor afterwards. Also, Fotus armor is another placeholder that sometimes comes up, but as far as i know that only happen in forge or hacked gamemodes. Can you look up the Fotus armor on the halo wiki and compare it to what you saw? Cause if you remember what the armor looked like and then compare the image in your head to the Fotus armor i may be able to explain what happend, not 100% correctly though.

It was Nightfall, switched to Helljumper, switched to Copperhead. I asked on a message and they said they used Halo Waypoint but that makes no sense cause I tried it for myself and it did nothing

You can change your armor setup on Waypoint. Just go to your Halo 5 service record through your profile, and there should be a button that says “Customize Spartan”. From there, you can select your armor, helmet, visor, and colors like that.

Yes I know that and it does change once you got into the menus, but not mid game

If anything bud, we need to see a video clip of this happening. Go find the match through your Custom Games history, bookmark it, and record what we need as proof.
