Armor Ability Concepts v2 (w/ Equipment)

Abilities

Short Cooldown: 5-10 seconds
Significant: 10-15 seconds.
Long: 15-30 seconds.

Waypoint
Displays Waypoints on ally’s HUD. Can be used to mark locations and enemies within close range. Waypoints would have unique letters above them so they aren’t confused with other teammates’ Waypoints. Significant cooldown.

Power Supply
Drains your own shields but provides shielding to vehicles. Vehicle Overshields can withstand one plasma pistol charge shot or moderate damage from firearms. Can also be used to give allies within short radius a 1.5 overshield. Long Cooldown.

Thruster Pack
Slightly more range, increased speed, has no gravity in midair. Short Cooldown.

Hydraulics
Alternative to jetpack. Allows you a single jump that is 1.75x as high as normal. Significant cooldown.

Speed Boost
Temporary 130% speed boost, disables sprint while in use. Significant cooldown.

Hologram
Same as now, except can be controlled by holding down the ability button.

Digital Noise
Alternative to camo. Disables enemy and personal radar within short radius of yourself. Significant cooldown.

Equipment

Deployable Mounted Turret
Self Explanatory

Deployable Sentry Gun
Buffed version of campaign turret, charges significantly faster, same damage, different appearance.

Grav Lift
Self Explanatory

Miniature Mancannon
Mancannon with less range.

Regeneration Field
Same as Halo 3, slightly nerfed.

Tripmines
Self Explanatory

Miscellaneous
Active Camo is now a powerup.

I would like a more powerful thruster pack, but I do fine just the way it is now.

I do like the Waypoint ability, that would be really nice.

Pulse Charge

Allows slight damage per second (15%) for 5 seconds to any enemy inside a 5m radius of you. Lasts for 6 seconds. Looks like a pulsie grenade.

I did think of something like that, but I figured it would encourage too much suicide bombing.

Active Camo should return as a Powerup, but also remain as an Armor Ability.

The AA counterpart should disable weapons while it’s in use, and give off noise when deactivated to alert other players who’re within close proximity.

Not sure if many people would agree on this, but an upgrade to the Stealth SU should slowly recharge Active Camo while stationary, but drain power at a slightly faster rate while in motion… or perhaps this can either replace AA Efficiency, or become it’s own Tactical Package/Support Upgrade to be used with Active Camo, Auto Sentry, Promethean Vision & Regen Field.

Blood Bending - Telekineticly grab an enemy for 5 seconds. The player has to be within 10 feet of you and visible(not behind a wall or object). While using this ability you you can move the player and release them or mind blast them away. The player using Blood Bending slowly loses health while a player is grabbed. If 2 players try to blood bend at the same time they basically tele-frag themselves.

Am I serious about my idea? Perhaps… perhaps.

I’d really like to see plasma pistol go back to just being a noob combo gun. I would really like to see a human stun/emp gun. I’d like it to be like the sticky detonator where you can toy with the enemy. Except when it explodes it EMPs. This would obviously be a map pickup rather than something you spawn with. Could you imagine having a banshee stuck with the emp and waiting to detonate it when it’s by a cliff? Or sticking a warthog and waiting for it to hit a jump and emp it mid air hoping for it to flip. I could have so much fun with something like that. Anything that can cause shenanigans is fine with me.
