Armor abilities should be in H5 custom games

Im glad that armor abilities and loadouts are gone fom halo 5 but i want AAs to stay in custom games it made people create really fun obstacle maps and other fun stuff anyone else agree?

I’m sure new things will be introduced in Halo 5 that will be used to create fun maps. They don’t necessarily have to be AA’s.

343i has said that “there will be no AAs in Halo 5 Guardians,” and that would include custom games. I’m sure there will be other things that custom gametype creators will be able to use to make fun gametypes.

Sad to see AAs go and CLs to. I might not enjoy Halo 5 as much as I thought I would… :frowning:

peoplez who love armor abilities, the same fun things can be made with improvision. like having to crouch under something we can just slide to keep momentum, if there is a double jump feature( most likely to be ) we can do some bigger jumps, if there is legde grabbing, there could be a sniper and people are on a ledge and there backs are toward you and they are immune to every thing besides head shots. fun things could be made, we dont NEED armor abilities

That would be nice. I mean AA’s weren’t so bad in custom games right?

I don’t like the concept of dumping anything that requires animation, modeling, extensive coding and needs to be a part of every map being dumped into the Custom Options.

The problem is that they require quite a lot of resources and as anything that requires what I just said, it can be considered “main part of the game”.

Beyond that, what about the Controller Layout? Are we going to keep a button unassigned just to use it in Customs? Or are we going to have a complete separate Controller Layout especially for Custom Games?

There are tons of things that would be awesome to have as Custom Options, but considering most of them would have a significant impact on the gameplay, or could be considered a part of the gameplay just dumped without any consideration into Customs, the question is, is it worth putting that as a custom option? What if i343 introduce prone, snap to cover, blind firing, ADS, but only as custom options. Quite big mechanics to be honest, just in customs?

Sure, we have the Leech option, shoot someone and you regain a portion of your shield. Or atleast I remember something like that. It however doesn’t require it’s own asset/model and animation. It requires some lines of code, at the most, whenever you do damage, you gain shield equal to a percentage of the damage dealt. How does that compare to the whole range of AAs?

Kinda a good idea.

To me it does not matter whether they are in or not in custom games. I mean think about it the custom games still worked fine without AAs.

Duck Hunt, Jenga, Cops n Robbers, Fat Man, Trash Compactor, Left for Dead, Teacher and Ghostbusters( no you don’t need the camo AA for this) were some of the more popular custom games and were played before AAs were introduced.

Even the games that did use AAs (Thruster Busters and some other gametype with the HS) felt pretty boring after a while.

Heck for Jump Rope for instance we can replace the jetpack by giving last man decreased gravity, making timing way more essential for both infected and last man and less of a “wait till the jetpack runs out”.

I don’t think it is a good idea. It would be a decent amount of work for something that is only in custom games. And on top of that, there is a certain value in allowing a game to be its own thing. If Halo 5 isn’t going to have AA’s in its multiplayer/campaign then I don’t think that they should be in any playlist.
