This thread is conerning AA’s for future titles
Throw em in the trash. AA is one of the main reasons so many people disliked Reach.

The same people that wanted Halo not to change and stay like Halo 3 forever? Yeah, we should definitely let the people who are afraid of new things decide the future of a blockbuster game franchise.

this is a place for people to voice their opinion without negative critisizm, i’d like it kept that way.
Make it so you can only use your AA once per life
armor abilities should be treated like weapons. Some should be on the map and some you should spawn with. Do it based on their strengths i.e. promethean vision on the map since its clearly a powerful tool seeing through walls and all. thrust pack shouldnt knock you out of first person either.

The forums are a place for criticism and for all of the community to voice their concerns. If we can’t tell people the flaws in their arguments, then how can the community as a whole ever move forward?
I am sorry so say but, threads are about discussion. Some of it points the good but also the bad. You cannot tell people who only say positive things. If someone wants to challenge another PPV let them or go home crying.

AA’s are a change for the worse. They’re a game breaker. It’s like if EA decided to add armor abilities to Madden. It wouldn’t be football just like what we have now isn’t Halo. WE want a traditional Halo…a suped up version of H2/H3. Why not build from those games, which were successful, instead of building from Reach, which wasn’t very successful. WE told 343 we don’t want AA’s, gimmicks, and randomness. WE told 343 we don’t want Reach version 2.0, but what do they give us…Reach on STEROIDS in Halo 4.

Well, we’ve had AAs for 2 games now. We are due for another change. How about making it so everyone has every AA at the same time? Actually, scrap that, it’s too small of a change. It would basically be Halo 4.1. That’s no good. What we should do is radically change everything. Because we’ve had so much success with that in the past.
We might as well change it to a puzzle game actually. Change is good, no matter what, right? Right.

Acutally armor lock and jetpack were the main reasons. AAs are fine in 4 (except for camo)

They did build from Halo 3, and that game was Halo Reach. Instead of taking a step back, and building another game based off Halo 3, they built Halo 4 off of Reach.
Also, Reach was just as successful as 3 and 2. It had all of the same glitches, problems, and pissed off community that every Halo game has had.

And people like you just want halo to be like REACH forever because you guys cant stand the taste of defeat,
so you need stupid -Yoink- like AAs sprint and ordnance drops to get the edge on people who you struggled against in halo 1-3
Throw em and replace them with pick up equipment, IMO AAs add nothing positive at all and have alot more negatives on terms of balnce so I think they don’t make enough of a difference in a positive way
What was wrong with equipment? Trash AA.

And yet, it is still known as the worst Halo.

reach was trash, easily the worst halo game next to halo wars
I honestly don’t know which is the better halo, Halo Reach, or Halo 4. I absolutly hated reach, but I also hate a lot of stuff in Halo 4. And I would love to compare spawning in Reach to Halo 4, because most people don’t realize how bad Halo 4’s spawning is due to being able to instant respawn. (which is another thing I don’t like) And for all the whiners out there that say people don’t like new things, well you can’t introduce something you obviously know the community that makes up your game will hate, ecspecially from COD to Halo. I mean, c’mon, how was that hard to understand when 343 was designing it. I guess that’s why they’re already looking for a new multiplayer designer to make things balanced and tune stuff.

So we have power ups in Football?
That was a horrid analogy. Not everyone liked the old recipe of Halo.

Reach turned off millions of Halo players and instead of going back to Halo’s roots, 343 gives us Reach on steroids in Halo 4. I don’t really don’t understand it. 343 is either inept or they’re running the franchise into the ground on purpose.
