So Halo 4 looks amazing so far, I cant wait to get it. I like the new additions too.
But am I the only one who thinks that the Armor Abilites and default sprint are unnecessary? I dont mind them at all, they are a cool little additions to the sandbox, not annoying but they give no advantege to an experienced player, which is why I feel they are redundant.
The same was with Reach. I never used an AA besides sprint, and I only used sprint because I was forced to choose one ability. I never had a problem killing anyone using Armor Lock or Jetpack.
It seems that you will be able to choose not to have any ability in Halo 4 besides default sprint of course, so I think I will do so. And really sprint is in the game because it is an industry standard, it only gives a slight 5% speed boost.
TL,DR armor abilities are not a game changer thats why I think they are redundant.
Do you agree?
I see your point. I never thought of it this way before.
I dont mind AA but having sprint as default now encourages other armor abilities to be used.

I was really excited when bungie announced they’d be in Reach back than, but when I got to play the game… k these are cool but I liked equipment better, they were underused, but atleast they gave an actual advantege. I know AAs are the evolution of equipment, but meh… not really useful.

Yes, but once you play for a few months and get the feel of the game, you wont need them.

I know, and they put in a lot more additions like costumizable loadouts and tactical packages, etc so its really not like reach or any other game.
I think they are not a bad addition. They at least change up gameplay a bit. You make a good point.

Whats the magic name? CALL OF DUTY!

I’m not saying they are bad, yes they spice up the game, but in Reach, 90% ppl use sprint the other 10% flies around with jetpacks. Ive never seen someone using hologram for example. Thats not fun.
I never really used anything other than Sprint either. I did like the added variety of invisible and flying enemies, though. Stuff like HLS should make it even more interesting.
