Aren't I supposed to get XP?

I am completing my commendations but I don’t seem to be getting the XP rewards. Are they added into my game total?

If you look closely here’s what happens.

Say for example you get a commendation in game that’s 5000 points. Game ends, you’re awarded 2500 for winning, score, etc. You will gain 7500 XP, but the 5000 is invisible.

My guess is they didn’t want to show the 5,000 in the total because with the Dew XP bonus people would gain outrageous amounts of XP.

I guess that makes sense. Thank you. It just seems like I’m not progressing as quickly as I should be.
