Needs to be changed so that it pools 8 players, then matches them together based on skill.
Currently the system pools 4 players, then another 4 which allows for the manipulation called 2s tricking. Simple fix which removes this exploit. Just change it tot he way every other playlsit is.
That’s not actually what I’m talking about.
A “big” party is classified as any team with greater 3+ members. Now then, what 2s tricking is is where you start with a party of four similar trueskill value players. Due to the lack of population, the team will split into two groups of two and start searching in party chat. When they see two players show up in the “players found” section, they confirm it happened at the same time. When they find each other, the Arena MM system then looks for another group of 4 pooled players, ensuing that the players they just matched will be on their team.
If the system pooled 8 players of singles and parties of 2, this would never happen. The end result is that a well organized team of four plays against players who were matched randomly. They can also stay partied up after the game and become a team of four and the MM system still considers them randoms because they didn’t enter MM as a whole team.
The solution is to either make the Arena MM system pool 8 players and then arrange the teams based on trueskill value just like Halo 3 and every other playlist in Reach, or define players staying together as a party of 3+ to be a “big party” to remove any effectiveness this manipulation provides.
I also don’t understand why I’m not in a “division” yet, yet have to play Onyx teams over, and over, and over.
Trueskill needs reset each season.

lol yes. Not only does it slow newer players but it means that it takes forever to get in a division.

Why does Waypoint say that I haven’t qualified yet for this season? I can see what I am on Bnet and in-game. What’s up with this?

Halowaypoint does not currently track arena divisions.

Waypoint stats = poop.

Well that’s stupid. Why wouldn’t they track arena divisions? They are part of the game they are managing.

lol I go with they don’t care. I mean why would they? You can’t more than 1 game per hour. They would rather update living dead which always has 10000 people in it. They don’t even bother say they are ignoring it. They have done two updates. “TU added to arena” and “Jetpack removed from arena”. They don’t want to edit something with so little population.
In my honest opinion they need to remove
Team Slayer
Arena
Living dead
multi team
squad dlc
ZB slayer
coop campaign
firefight doubles
Grifball
Then they need to merge superslayer and ZB into a new ranked version (can be arena) and then also
MLG
Action Sack
Double team
Swat
Snipers
Objective (With 4)
rumble pit
Have Squad slayer as the only social playlist and you’re done.
No need to remove all those.
Squad DLC can go if they’d just require DLC for Objective/BTB.
“TU” should be universally implemented, as now it is not that big of a difference. Remove “Super Slayer”.
Co-op Campaign can go.
Make Arena ZB then remove ZB BETA playlist…
Is there any way to find your arena information now? It’s pretty irritating that this doesn’t support it and that Bungie’s Halo info is no longer being updated. On top of that, this interface is sooooo slow compared to the original.

Nope. Halotracker.com will show your stats, but not your division standings.
Ridiculous. Have to turn on my xbox, and load up Reach before work each day to see where I’m at.

Isn’t Halotracker not able to update any new information anymore?

Not arena divisions because they are not visible on this site.
