Hope this helps.
First of all, pistol > AR.
Secondly watch tip videos like Luke The Notable (I personally also recommend the youtuber ‘Proximitty’)

Yeah, get really good with your pistol (and the other precision weapons) above all else.
The higher rank you climb the more necessary precision weapon accuracy will be. Not only will players be more accurate in targeting you in higher levels, they will also be harder to hit. You’ll want your pistol accuracy around 50%, or ideally, higher.
That’s just the half of it really. I’m no pro myself but when I am getting slapped around by a better team it’s because they are communicating really well. Learn the call-outs, listen to your team (assuming they are using mics), and support them when you can. If you can even get 1 shot on an enemy spartan that one of your teammates is engaged with, they will die that much quicker.
Also, unlike in Warzone, you will need to pick up weapons from around the map. Ideally, you want your pistol (or BR or DMR) along with a map pick-up automatic (SMG, Storm Rifle) that way you are equipped for both long engagements and CQC.
The best tips for someone trying to get a footing in arena would be:
- try to use precision weapons, even if it feels uncomfortable at first - Teamwork makes the dream work.Welcome to arena. I think you’ll find it a rewarding gamemode play
I mostly play SWAT so I really can’t say much for tips in regular Arena. I can say, turn on the “AI Callouts” because most of the time, actual players won’t communicate much unless you are already in a party with them. Those “AI Callouts” have helped when they say something like “Enemy in Security” or some other location.
“Guns, grenades, melee” man…
Always scan the screen for enemies, pre-nade corners and high-traffic areas (a defining skill-set of intermediate-to-high skilled players), control power weapons/positions… learn the optimal times to melee an opponent given the weapon your using in close-quarters… get creative and find skill-jumps and alternate routes around the maps. The key is to be unpredictable.
It’s vague, but you must understand the in’s and out’s of the gameplay mechanics in order to rise to a higher, more proficient level.
Thanks for all the help guys.
I recommend facing off against another person in an Octagon map; it helps to develop your accuracy, strafing, and dodging all at once.
Get good at map navigation and map control, i generally see that the players with the more time played in arena move around the most efficiently, you’ll learn all the spots and memorize all the power weapon spawns when you’ve played enough
I seem to like domination the most any tips on that?
Also a way to control my rage heheh
