I keep trying to play FFA but after every game I have to force myself to not back out and play something else. I have the worst aim and luck at all the wrong moments, and I feel like a turtle walking around the map because everytime I sprint I get wrecked. Makes me really miss Halo 3 lone wolves. No sprint, no wonky aim, good spawns, fluid strafing.
It’s gone never to return, along with BR starts, weapons that aren’t overpowered, Maps that are half decent, a dev team that know what they’re doing, and gamemodes that aren’t broke to all hell.

BR starts is opinion, i think the game is fine without them. the weapons are all strong none or overpowered, the pistol is just annoying, fair enough, bungie wasn’t that great. none of the gamemodes are “broken” just a lack of them. calm the 343 hate down. although i do share the same feeling as OP.

the thing that breaks it for me is the spartan charge, it RUINS the game for me

I just wish they could add a classic playlist. I like the idea of Thruster pack, but the rest just go against what made Halo so great.

Agreed, it’s just a reminder that the abilities completely ruined arena, I couldn’t stand playing it long, nearly quit several times then I just played something else because of badly designed the mode is for Assault, I miss open area’s like Zanzibar with vehicles the add-on maps are terrible for arena. Mainly the Spartan Charge since it’s just luck, the radar is practically useless.

Sounds like symptoms of being on the wrong sensitivity my man. What are your contoller settings? If the your aim and gameplay movements aren’t feeling right; time to switch sensitivities, give that a shot.

Brother I used to feel that way about FFA as well, just started playing it again yesterday and I am having lots of fun. If you cant aim just use the AR, we all know many people do it and its no shame, I use it a lot in close combat. Also be ready to shoot as soon as you spawn and try to get power weapons and and power ups, seeing that overshield guy running at us is really scary but if you’re teh OS guy, you’re in control. And usually FFA has good matchmaking when it comes to kill, just did a game that I won with 25 kills in 11:59 !!! and the 6th placed had 17 kills ! And even if your first games dont go well and you get recked, your KD will make play not so good players. All of this to say, dont give up on FFA, if you have no friends to do team arena, like me, its the best solution.

Forgot to tell him that, I recently did that and my aim is much better, instead of being bad now I’m average xD

I play on 4 sensitivity and 2 aim acceleration. Deadzones are both zero. Sometimes I play at my friend’s house where I can do good on 5 sens. and 5 accel. because his screen is smaller which makes a huge difference in comparison. Kinda wish I had gotten a smaller TV now.
