There needs to be a placement for those who use rare, ultra rare, or legendary boosts in Halo 5. This came in mind because today I bought a gold pack, it contained 2 ultra rare RP boosts. I thought what better way to use these boosts than to play grifball. So I queued up and tossed on a boost. The first game I joined, it had about 30 seconds left, I got a couple of kills, game ended, only got about 400 req points. 400 req points while having an ultra rare boost on? It is a waste. So I thought, oh i must be unlucky, so i queued up a second time and used another boost. This game had about 5 seconds left in it, game ended and I got no kills, so I literally got 0 points the second game. At that point I was really ticked off for wasting 2 ultra rare boosts. Just to prove my theory, I tried for a third time, this time using only a rare boost. I joined in yet another late game with 1 minute left, got a couple of kills and ended up only getting about 500 points. So I really got mad at this, and it is why I am posting this. There should be a level of requirement when using a boost, for example, if I use an ultra rare boost, we shouldn’t be getting placed in late games. I’m not sure if other people have had this issue before, but if you join a late game (like a really late game) while using a boost and not get much, if not any points off of it, the boost shouldn’t be used up.

They will probably not change it. In WZ you can tell if it is a join in progress because there is no counter in jip. Dio don’t add your booost until the timer starts.
I think they should have some sort of system in place for boosts, last time I used an ultra rare mission victory on BTB I was literally greeted to the match with DEFEAT. I fully support JIP but now I don’t use high level boosts ever because it’ll just get wasted.
Ehm as long as your using a normal boost, you get the same amout, win or lose doesnt matter. Gambles are another story.
That’s not quite accurate, I’ve had -Yoink- games with a boost on that didn’t pay out as much as they do on a solid game.
