Many sandbox shooter genres, hold some sort of kill to death ratio, where a player is given an allocation which some deem as the embodiment of their skill. This is true to a point however, in Halo 5: Guardians the competitive skill rank is based on Wins to Losses… so for the highest echelon players, the ONYX and CHAMPION the K/D Ratio does matter, however for the lower CSR players when you compare your “skill” (K/D) with that of another player take into account their CSR too as this dictates who they verse, generally higher CSR will verse like-skilled players which may not be on-par to who you verse, deeming the K/D ratio unreliable, you may be better than your “like-skilled” players however when versing the same opponents you may be worse. In other words a Platinum CSR K/D does not equal a Silver CSR K/D, if you know what I mean…
I read this twice and I still don’t know what you mean. All I know is I keep getting matched with “lower” ranked players and some who aren’t even ranked yet. I don’t think this ranking system is all that accurate, and even if it was it wouldn’t matter. The matchmaking itself seems flawed, and with what we have now CSR/KD doesn’t really matter until you get into the higher ranks.
In summary it means that any one holding a significance for the K/D is silly until they reach ONYX CSR RANK where they verse the best players in Halo 5: Guardians.
