Arena teamwork

So everyone has their own playing style. Here is mine, so pay attention rookie.

  1. Have yourself a team
  2. practice communication
  3. practice accurate communications
I.E: use names that the map already tells (Blue elbow, blue bridge, red sneaky, rockets, sniper)
  4. Don’t lose your cool
  5. have fun
  1. Play solo
  2. Win some - Lose some

worst advice i’ve ever heard, everyone knows that the top players;

  1. only solo queue
  2. Wear a mic and have it on but dont clutter the chat just breath into it so your team knows you can hear them
  3. Comms are important but dont be that guy that constantly calls out nonstop that doesnt help anyone with anything
  4. Top players scream and jump and yell all the time so GET PUMPED AND RAGE!
  5. Fun is a key aspect but overall you need to pad your stats as much as possible so people will respect your arbitrary digits next to the KD and KDA.

If there’s no communication (aka in every Team Slayer game ever) I might shadow another player, watching him from the back and helping with kills. If I have a mic, my deep and soothing voice sways the enemy team to pacifism. Then we slaughter them. need doez statz fam

only problem i have with this is call outs. I have yet to learn the locations on the map because i’m trying to not die so don’t have time to read the tiny lettering at the bottom of the screen every time i enter a area.

I’m not the best Halo player ever, but I have been competing since 2006 so I feel like I have tons of experience. I think the most important thing (especially when going soloQ) is to just pay attention to your teammates. People spend so much time looking for enemies or pushing down ‘concrete paths’… when you can gather so much necessary information just by looking for your teammates off of spawn. Whether they are being shot, are shooting, etc. (by paying attention to the color of their waypoint marker)…

So my style is to mostly play and react to whatever my teammates are doing - I try to provide team shots to my teammates, but also take note of where my teammates are and what ‘gaps’ there are in our set up.

that’s smart, usually the ones who push without back up are killed quickly which leaves a gap for the enemy team to use to come up behind your team mates. I always try to stick close to a team mate and support

If you play with the same people a lot, you might end up making up your own callouts. If people join me and my friends, they always ask us what we mean by X so we have to explain it. But it works for us so.

-Yoink- corner is another good one.

i play solo

win and loose

Im lonewolf what can i say

I remember when i had a lot of friends who still played halo and didn’t leave for other games or other consoles we had our own call outs for every map. Most memorable one was the R.Kelly room on a reach map.
