Arena System sucks!!!

Hey I really have to say what everyone is thinking:

The actuall arena System in Halo 5 is totalle stupid:

In Team-arena three players of my team left the game (so I’m alone) and alone vs 4 enemys in CTF… Sorry, I totally lost, got now Platin 3 and not 4 anymore.

Just like Breakout: 2v4 To win is mostly insane, and than I lost my rank their too, just because of stupid teammate ragequiters (sorry that banning system isn’t really effective).

Team Showdown the same: Sometimes, I made 20-29 Kills of max 50 Kills, and about 5-10 Assists (while team work): Why to hell did MY rank go down? Yeah, we lost, but I was the best player of the lobby AND I have done the most assists so far in that game.) Sorry but the JUST WIN OR LOSE! system isn’t so effective like everyone think…

(my opinion)

Win - Loss system: Play to win or go home.

Individual system: FFA with teams, your rank benefits from screwing your team mates up.

Both: Still FFA with teams, your rank benefits differently depending on how influential the individual part is on your rank.

Soo, do you play to win or stat pad?

I play for win, and I actually post that I worked in Team and made a lot of kills (FFA is just kill stealing and I don’t like that mode)

The fact that it isn’t fixed yet really shows you something about 343i. I want my skill rank to match my skill, not count how many times some little -Yoink- Christmas noob squeaker halfway across the world left my games.

Then an individual tracking system isn’t made for you.
You are part of your team, you lose as a team and win as a team.

Your ability to win also goes into how successful your team is. So, if you find yourself losing but with great stats, then something is wrong with the team like weak players, bad team work, horrible communication. Improve that and you’ll find yourself winning.

Okay, what is skill?
Winning over others?
Padding stats?

Stat padding? You think anyone in the Halo 2/3 days got good from “screwing their teammates”? Halo used to be about individuals playing together and getting matched up based on “True Skill” matchmaking. When 343 stepped in and added Win ranking, any trash player can now just sit AFK and rank up to Onyx, simply by their team winning. This system is not only idiotic but it literally has nothing to do with being good at the game in ANY sense other than just being there. Its laughable how trash the ranking system is and adding “seasons” to it further enforces that 343i has no idea what a competitive shooter is.

Come on Naqser, the ranking system and match making is broken.

Golds should be playing Golds, Platinum v Platinum.

It hardly ever happens.

People pull out because the sides are unmatched, or because they are on the same map for the fifth time in a row. My biggest issue is the number of unranked players in my playlists. There cannot be that many of them (these are true unranked with < 10 CSR). They unbalance most games. (I mainly play Slayer).

Fix the match making, and hopefully less players will pull out.

If they can’t fix the match making, then the current system doesn’t work for the lower level players. Winning and losing is based on luck. Not skill.

I’m guessing that you get less Diamond and Onyx players pulling out.

The only real way to play this at the moment is to play with mates, or as a team with headsets, otherwise, it really is pot luck whether you win or not. Something the ranking was supposed to sort out,

Would you be shocked if I said that the first ever Halo to track individual stats was Halo: Reach? Want to hear how that went? They changed it to a W/L system.
Halo 2 and 3 also had W/L systems in place.

The True Skill you’re talking about is a refined version of the ELO system, which is also a W/L system.

You’ll find me skeptical of any “trash player AFKing to Onyx”.

We’re most likely looking at a loose skill range setting here, and a low population, for the match making. The ranking system has no saying in who plays who, it just rates players. That rating is then used by the match making system to match players up.

Also, most games using a sort of skill ranking systems based on wins, have this “hell hole”, from where it’s difficult to escape if you somehow ended up there. I believe LoL players use the term “ELO hell”. Where luck is needed, or a team, to get out. I’m probably stuck in it this season of SC2’s 4v4, played 14 matches I believe it was, and won 4 I believe.

Guys keep in mind that since the beggining of Halo, players were actually encouraged to find teammates…people that you play with on a regular basis…know your weaknesses and your strengths…build chemistry. That’s how you start winning, not playing with random people you meet once a year.
