Arena Qualifying Rank Inconsistencies

Hey guys,
I wanted to discuss the inconsistencies in arena ranks after qualifyin matches. It’s beginning to seem as if you are assigned to a nearly random (if not wildly inaccurate) rank following your 10 qualifying matches with little to no regard to performance.

Some examples: 10 breakout matches with 7 wins, going 6 kills positive (slightly higher than 1.0k/d) on this account with average-poor performance = Onyx.

But on my other account, breakout 8/10 games won on qualifiers. I got 1st on the team 9/10 games, and finished with a 3.0 K/D. I ranked Platinum 2. My buddy played with me and finished with a 0.97 K/D and in bottom 2 on our team probably 45% of the time. He ranked Platinum 6 and we then got him to Diamond 1. That is wildly inconsistent.

When snipers was a weekend playlist, a similar thing happened. We won 6/10 games, I had a 2.0 K/D, ranked top on the team frequently and got Gold 6. He went negative every game but a couple, with being on the bottom a few times, and got Diamond 1.

In both scenarios, we played all qualifying games together. So there’s no issue there.

Even an anonymous pro won 10/10 doubles games with a 3.0 K/D and ranked Diamond 3. I ranked the same when winning 7/10 with a 1.5 K/D.

If there’s only going to be 10 qualifying matches, the rank NEEDS to be accurate. Thanks!

I’m sure others have had some confusing moments like these.

The only thing I can think of is he caliber of players you were being matched with on the other account. Maybe in some way everyone’s csr is based on the totality of the circumstances

Yeah, I can understand how player caliber would effect rank between accounts. I played a few top level groups and good players on this breakout onyx.

However, on my other account, that doesnt account for the much higher rank for my friend who played much worse. I’m just chalking it up to a system that is a few months old and is being improved upon. It’s important to let 343 know of inconsistencies.

Update: on my other gamertag TheBloatedWhale, I won 10/10 slayer games with a 3.9 K/D (like 15.0 KDA or something), top of the team in every game, and ranked platinum 5. SICK. Makes no sense.
