So a friend and I joined arena match making as a fireteam and we qualifying matches at the same time all 10 in swat, so we had the same wins to loses. I averaged 2.0 k/d my friend averaged 0.5 k/d. After the finally qualifier, I get ranked silver 4 and my friend gets the rank gold 3. What happened? I don’t play play much arena any more becuase of this. If this is affirmitive action for less experienced or less skilled players, you’re just setting them up for failure and more heart break, and making skilled players work harder to acheive their goals.
Supposedly the qualifying matches take previous season rank into account when placing players in tiers. I would chalk it up to a -Yoink- ranking system that has no consistency except to piss a lot of people. Doesn’t matter where I place. I always end up right back where I was making the placement matches pointless just like the resets. At the moment it’s what we have to deal with, but I truly share your frustration >:(
