Here’s a link to GameSpot’s latest video on Arena. At 15 seconds he names off the gametypes; Breakout, Strongholds, CTF and Slayer. No mention what so ever of classic gametypes such as KOTH or Oddball.
Now I’m pretty sure if there were going to be any more gametypes for Arena we either would have already heard about them by now, or at the very least they would’ve have informed GameSpot to include those extra ones when they said that list.
So what do you guys think about only getting 4 Arena gametypes? Personally, I’m thinking this is really going to hurt the Arena side of Halo 5 and will make people just stick to Warzone more.
There’s also no Big Team at the start. Baby steps, this is fine with me.

All of those gametypes seen there are just variants of those initial 4 I mentioned. We’ll have to wait and see I guess, but If I were GameSpot I wouldn’t even have mentioned a list if it was incomplete.

Ah my bad, I thought you were talking about individual game types, not the core ones. 
Also, not sure which GameSpot article you’re referring to. I just looked and they only posted one thing today and it was about Spartan Abilities.

In the linked video, there’s Shotty Snipers, Swat and FFA, which are not a part of the inital 4. Also in a presentation a 343i employee mentioned about catering to the Grifball players, so they haven’t forgotten about the wacky gametypes.
You’re forgetting they’re playing a closed beta which is limited. The game is gold and has plenty of time to implement whatever for a day-1 patch, lol calm down
I highly doubt there won’t be oddball or King of the Hill. They are going hard e-sports, and the pro community would freak if they weren’t in there.

Social Playlists? (Infection, KOTH, Team Swat, Grifball, Rumble Pit, Action Sack, BTB etc)
I took a survey , that im bound by nda by so I can’t really say anything of what the survey was about. But just keep an open mind they could always add more game modes to the game after launch

Well i mean what stops KotH from being a “variant” of Stronghold. Its just 1 moving stronghold. In that new video, i saw at least Shotty Snipers, Swat, and Free for All Slayer
I know for a fact there will be more than 4. I’m not allowed talk about it but there will be more than 4. How would you feel about Breakout and Swat in 1 playlist? I like it. I’m simply asking opinions based on similar game types I think would be good to combine in 1 playlist nothing more .
