I would appreciate Halo 5’s muliplayer more if there was more weapon and vehicle diversity on Arena maps.
As of now, the dominant weapon pad Sniper rifle is the UNSC Sniper rifle. The Beam rifle only appears on 2 Arena maps and 1 BTB map. The Binary rifle is nowhere in Arena, and on 2 BTB maps.
The dominant rocket launcher is the UNSC rocket launcher. The fuel rod cannon is not existant on Arena or BTB maps, and Incineration cannon is only available on 2 BTB maps.
As of vehicles, the only air vehicles used in BTB are the Wasp and Banshee. There is only one map that has a Mantis available.
At least there is Warzone, where you can call in these weapons and vehicles whenever you get the the chance.
And better quality maps. No more forge maps…that’s just lazy on 343s part.
I think it needs less to be honest. It’s already very redundant and many weapons meet the same role as others.
Those are dominant because they dont break the flow of the maps nore do they break the overall balance of the weapons on the maps. As of now one of the main issues with the maps (beside some of their designs) is the over abundance of power weapons. Promethean weapons just dont work well in arena, I could maybe see them in BTB but not normal arena.

I understand what you are coming from, but I have to disagree. The problem with Halo 5 is that some of the power weapons are too strong, making them more like killstreaks because they almost guarantee you kills rather than power weapons which give you an advantage. The fuel rod cannon was absent from previous smaller Halo maps due to it’s high magazine size and fire rate, a trait as to why competitive players wanted it removed from HCS maps. The incineration cannon was nerfed coming into Halo 5 but the charged radius is still incredibly large. Plus don’t get me started on the railgun; ever since the patch that made it hitscan, if you’re at least decent and miss with the railgun you choked or you’re bad. Moving on to redundant weapons. The reason why the binary rifle was not on smaller maps in Halo 4 was because it was too powerful and kind of “nooby” you might say; for Halo 5 the binary rifle is not in arena for the opposite reason of not being ideal for smaller maps due to the beam that you must hold on the target. As for vehicles I think that is more of a design aspect as the maps were designed to better fit those vehicles rather than others; the same also applies for most weapons on maps in general, I’m not going to design a Btb map where the sword and shotgun are the power weapons (which are also meant to be better at taking down vehicles). Again I understand why you think this but there are more reason and more depth to what I just said.
Halo has always been defined by a limited set of niche weapons, so I’m fine with their representation in Arena.
However, Halo has also always been defined by vehicle game play, and I would love to see some vehicles added to 4v4 matchmaking…
Eh go to brb for that I think the halo 5 weapons are way to over powered especially in those small maps
