Anyone else feels blah about halo 5 maps? I really don’t like any of the arena maps except for coliseum since thats the #1 map for me tbh. Doe warzone maps are 10/10.
Warzone is eh. I feel like bases should have multiple exits, seeing how if the enemy gets all 3 bases, you are -YOINKED-. With Arena maps, coliseum is good. I also like Plaza especially for swat. Rig is pretty bad. Most of the breakout maps are okay. Aside from that, I think maps are too small. And almost no natural maps. Think back to Halo 2 and 3, there were tons of maps with natural environments, yet almost no maps, regret aside, have any natural elements. And the maps are so small, when shotty snipers was out I felt like there were no really good areas for the sniper rifle. Hopefully the DLC maps are better. And the BTB forge maps, look good even if they are in forge.
i don’t know how i feel. they all seem OK, but none of them feel right, if that makes any sense

Right. None of the maps seem iconic or special. Looking back there were always maps that stood out to you, maps you loved. Here, I honestly don’t care which map I get, as long as it isn’t Orion (I know they removed it for now), or Pegasus, or the map I just played.
I feel the Halo 5 maps are true arena simulation maps compared to past Halos. In past Halos the environments felt more like an actual place or landscape. Whereas in H5 it feels more like an arena built or set up for use by spartans in training exercises. If you ask me Coliseum, Fathom, and Regret and plaza all feel memorable. The one I dislike is Pegasus and I usually sigh when I see Eden or The Rig pop up. I actually found Orion to be fun at times, and I hope it comes back. I don’t mind having long range standoffs across the map. The spawns did need work though, as did the power up location. I also kind of miss the hydra being located in the center tower/area of the map.
I dislike how in Regret they put the power weapon to the side and not in the center. IMO the overshield and fuel rod cannons locations should be swapped. Same with Truth…the location of the plasma sword is very odd and usually its always smack dab in the middle in the most vulnerable spot.

Actual places felt better IMO. And speaking of cross map orion kills, means nothing. Orion was so tiny. Make it a doubles map and I’ll play it. but for 4v4 no.
