First of all I’m gonna expose my opinion and I don’t want to offend anyone.
Good 343i, you made a good job with Warzone. But your Arena is just TERRIBLE.
When I get into Arena (Slayer) because Warzone could become repetitive, it’s the same feeling as when I have to work. I go without motivation, idk.
The radar is ridiculusly small, the maps are too small, there are many coberture to hide yourself, and this combinated with Thruster makes impossible to kill someone in Diamond.
The only thing I know to say now is “One shot”.
And when you play alone…whooou when you play alone it’s just awful.
Always the same maps, the same weapons in all the maps…makes you wonder if this game has been made by 343i or simply by Pro players.
I know I’m gonna recieve many comments saying “Go to Warzone” or “You’re just bad”, but I know I’m not the only one who thinks that.
And another thing I hate is when I have to face Onyx players. -Yoink- I’m on Diamond, okay? I don’t want to play against Onyx or Platinium Players!!
And please, Nerf the damage of the grenades !!
I agree. I really avoid arena as much as possible. Only reason I go in there is for BTB and luckily that has JIP. Playing any of arena without friends is not a good time since there is no JIP. Players quit or start betraying then leave or get kicked. So I stick with Warzone.
My problem is that arena is not time effective for RP. Enough time is spent loading and waiting that Warzone beats it out. Arena is only useful if you wish to improve your rating in a particular playlist. Unfortunately you can’t show off that ranking or rating so most of that is lost as well.
Agree about the lack of variety, and that it’s a very different feeling to Warzone. Arena tends to be tense, close, competitive. You have to work damn hard to win and if you are not in the right frame of mind then it’s not fun.
I love Arena, it’s fun to me, I play with at least 1 other person though.
I dislike Warzone, but I force myself to play it when I’m playing solo, or when I need req points lol
I don’t play Arena by myself, unless it’s swat.

That’s it mate, if you’re not completely focus on the game, you get a 5-15
but that’s the point of it. Arena is meant to be competetive. I’m not even a great player and I get that. I don’t see what’s there to complain about. Plus, you can’t be getting 5-15 that often, because your k/d is pretty ok. And it should be at like a 1. Even if you are onyx, you should be playing players of equal skill so you will die the same amount of the time.
I like the arena, I’m just hoping they’ll separate the social playlist from it.

But man in previous Halos, playlists like Slayer werent so competitive. IMO there should be a specific competitive playlist
Could’nt agree with you more.
I enjoy Arena but I would like to see a few new maps, more specifically community Forge maps. I know 343 is doing something with a community playlist, but if 343s Forge maps can be in the official playlist why can’t the better ones that were made by the community be in?
Arena is okay. I only play it when I’m playing with other people though, going in solo is a deathtrap. Though it is frustrating when I’m Platinum and I end up with 3 Golds on my team facing 3 Onyx and an unranked person. I think the inclusion of unranked players on a team completely throws off the matchmaking, making it much less fun.

And this. RP gain from Arena is absolutely terrible in terms of time effectiveness. One game of WZ Assault will give you 1200-1400 win or lose in 6 minutes, in a game where you can be semi-relaxed and have fun with your REQs. One game of arena will take 10-20mins (usually longer games are CTF). And you’ll get 600-800 for for your laser focused competitive efforts. Spending 2x the time and effort for half the RP? It’s just not worth it.
I’m slowly backing out of arena as well. The lack of game modes is killing it for me, the map rotation lacks rotation, and match-ups are terrible. I NEVER have fair or close games. I either get DESTROYED or we DESTROY the enemy team, neither of which are enjoyable. I will not play “team arena” because I HATE breakout so much. Also, when I feel like playing slayer I will play slayer. It shouldn’t be included in “team arena.” All I want to play is CTF and only CTF, but I can’t do that. The odds of me getting CTF are so small that I don’t even waste my time with it. I don’t hate strongholds, but I would prefer not to play it. I would rather have KoTH. For now, I am a warzone only guy; and playing the same few maps is getting old. I know they announced new game modes soon, which will re-energize Halo 5; but that’s still a ways off. 343 made such a good game, but these small details are killing it.
I can relate. Most single players have a “lone wolf” mentality. So if you can train yourself to tag team with someone, it’s better. Though it can be difficult to do that.
My 200 hours in arena disagrees with you. To each their own. We all have different tastes. Outside of the new map Overgrowth, Arena is extremely well done

I really agree with your comment about the matchmaking. If I am gold, I should only be facing gold players and unranked. None of this +/- a rank or two.
I find it just as fun as any other Halo game.

I absolutely refuse to play Arena alone, because you’re right it isn’t fun constantly getting your butt kicked.
I think it’s very fun.

If you are Diamond and don’t want to play Onyx, you shouldn’t get to be an Onyx. Its placing you with Platinum players as a break from someone of your “caliber”. Arena is for competitive players and you HAVE to work in order to win. You can’t win every game. Playing better players is going to make you better. Do you think I enjoy playing against Champions when I, myself, is a Diamond? No. But in order for me to grow as a Halo player I need to play people better than me. I won’t tell you to “Go to Warzone” or “You’re just bad”, I’m going to tell you to get some work ethic. You can’t get a promotion without extra work and you can’t learn easier ways without someone higher on the totem pole pointing you in the right direction. My dad once told me that stating a problem without a solution is called wining and that is exactly what you are doing.
