I keep getting stuck with unranked players and I’m already in the platinum division, I’m also going against rank players and my team -Yoinking!- sucks. This is terrible. I just lost a match with a full team up against 3 players that weren’t even good.
P.s. At the end of the match my results keep getting errors. That’s genius!
I haven’t had any issues with rank matchmaking or errors at the end. Maybe there is an update or something or the server just had a hiccup

If you’re that high rank already, clearly you like the game.

The population is the cause of your problems and trust me, that problem is going to go away at 5 pm on Friday.
Im in platinum division as well but i keep getting matched with unranked players as well. It varies as sometimes i get with other platinums or i get stuck with a team full of unranks. I am thinking that it has something to do with that not a lot of people have gotten their ranks yet but after a few more days we should see more and more people in their proper ranking tiers. Just don’t like losing since i have already gone up a few division levels.
It is almost as if the competitive playlist encourages players to team up with players of the same skill.
But in all seriousness, I wish it had the H3 matchmaking system. Teams of 4 get matched with teams of 4 and pairs with pairs, etc.
I would also remember the game is like a day old and true skill has yet to adjust correctly. So players who may actually suck are getting high ranks they don’t deserve, because there are not a ton of players ranked yet.

The ranking system will work. It works in SC2, LoL and CoD it will work here.
so arena does not suck, you just cant carry a team correctly lol no seriously though, I have had no problems with matchmaking, yes I get -Yoink- teammates at times but you have to pick of your game and compensate for it, welcome to halo bud.

Don’t know what to tell you about the errors, but as far as the ranked vs. unraked issue is concerned? Relax and be patient. The game is barely 24 hours old, and a lot of people are playing campaign first so they can learn the story and adjust to the new controls. Once they do, the multiplayer base will grow and the ranking system will level out. Just give it time.

sure the pistol is really good, but only if you can manage to land the shots, it doesn’t always guarantee the kill, you gotta earn it.

Now since when did I say “Everyone sucks”. Don’t come into this forum bashing me like I did something forbidden. I’m stating my opinion on how I feel about Arena and I feel like I’m getting screwed over by this game type when it’s suppose to be better and more competitive and yet I see the other team getting better while my team is not doing a good job. I can’t help the fact I play a lone wolf style.

Alrighty then. Having said that, I still haven’t played arena so I can’t weigh in on the topic.
I get what he means even if he is bit of yoink about it, its just gonna take a few weeks to balance out the ranks, although the seasons may cause problems. Ultimately you need friends for almost every aspect of this game, which has its pros and cons
Yep in platinum myself. Got to sub level 6 like three twice and lost three times because of quitters or certain teammates lag out post game. It also can be that my team isn’t any good either. It sucks for sure and it does bother me at the same time though, I had games where I had a bad team but managed to literally carry my team to victory on several occasions or at least came close to winning. So, the loss didn’t feel as bad.
What it does make me wanna do is form a squad so if anyone wants me to join their team then let me know. I am a really good marksman.

I mean I expected a population issue later in the life cycle but on the second day of release? Either this game has issues with population already or it has issues with matchmaking which seems a lot more likely

It’s a team game.
Play with a team or go play FFA.
Sigh, too many people on consoles don’t understand how this system works.
If you are platinum and get matched up with unranked players then it just means either your matchmaking rating is lower than you think it is or the unranked player has won enough games to be at your rating. If you are gold and see a platinum or diamond player in your game then it doesn’t mean the system isn’t working it just means they got that rank but then have been losing a lot of games bringing their matchmaking rating back down to your level.
Also the game is new you will see both good and bad players until it levels itself out.
