Arena iRON boosting - is anything done?

Hi,

Is anything being done to stop IRON boosting in Arena? It is clearly cheating?

Considering the way Arena/Ranked games have been messed up with Reach and the small population I would be surprised if there is a willingness to help but I really hope there is something that can be done. Iron boosting is cheating a few bad players to 1% Onyx and leaving a lot of legit players out of the their ranks. Furthermore because of simply 1 or 2 accounts a lot of other iron boosters have popped up as they doin’t see any other way of gaining a good percentage.

As a legit player - it is really upsetting.

Iron Boosting = a ranked team of 3(usually) Onyx players intentionally parties up with a 4th player who has a very LOW ranked IRON division. This means their average skill drops. They still matchmake other top Onyx teams but because their average skill is lowered so much by the IRON they are expected to lose - however s they are playing with 4 Onyx players they often win which benefits their skill A LOT. It is cheating the system.

Is there somewhere we can report cheaters for example?

So far, i’ve heard nothing about punishing about iron boosting. It sucks i know but i hardly ever play Arena since it’s a joke (derp packs and bad maps), a low niche population with slow search times and of course the boosting.

Despite Bungie’s intentions to correct the so called “flaws” of the 1-50 system, they just introduced more problems with Arena.
