Just finished playing campaign on Legendary and jumped into the MP to check out what’s in store. Warzone is awesome and a great mixup to the game since Invasion back in the Halo Reach days. But here’s why I’m creating this topic…
Arena. Just terrible. The competitive side is ridiculous. I’ve played Breakout, made it into gold division because I’m more of a run up in someone’s face and die, but taking 2 with me. Both Slayer AND Arena slayer are no different, pointless to have 2 gametypes that do the same thing. Free for all is just another way to get spawn killed over and over and has always been a last resort gametype if I’ve done everything.
Now for the BIGGEST problem. SWAT. I’ve been playing SWAT since Halo 2 first went online, and have thoroughly enjoyed the gametype as the years went on. When they introduced the DMR in Reach, I nearly lost all hope, but realized it made it better. Halo 4 made it fantastic as it involved both the DMR and BR, even the Light Rifle. But here we are in Halo 5: Fagians. I really don’t get what made 343i include SWAT. With all the bugs, instant spawn-ins, and SPAWN KILLS AND SWATNUMS over regular SWAT, why were these issues NEVER addressed. I didn’t come in here to play SWATnums, I came to play SWAT FOR -Yoink-'S SAKE! I easily made it into the Onyx division, but would have been Diamond if there weren’t so many SWATnum games.
Out of the 10 qualifier matches, ONLY 2 WERE REGULAR SWAT. WTF IS THIS SHˆT!? The magnums need to go. I’m top 100 in Halo 3/4/Reach SWAT, slowly making the ranks, but can’t pass 1500 on this one because Magnums only. I stopped playing Destiny Crucible for this -Yoink-!? Ridiculous. Address these issue 343i.
The only thing that made this game worth my $60 was the difficult solo legendary campaign and co-op. Might as well return to Destiny until SWAT, or any other gametype, is playable again. Bungie knows how to make good MP, no wonder people prefer the terrible Crucible in Destiny over your poor MP in the MCC.
