lmao you may need to work on that accuracy then because you can easily shoot people from all angles across that map with br. Just because you cant doesnt mean it cant be done. It was quite easy. I have 1000s of hrs of halo 2 time on multiple accounts and probably 100s more in H2 since MCC so i know quite well the range of H2 and even H3 br even on the games largest maps. Yes id agree mid range is optimal range, but the damage drop off or more of a cut of point is very very long on all the BR versions.
Really? Go ahead and prove it then. Prove to me that its possible to cross map someone across the map with the BR in Halo 2. Give me a video of you cross mapping someone from one of the bases with the BR. Stand right on top of the base and kill someone standing on top of the other base on the other end of the map with the BR.
I never said from base to base lmao. i said from many angles across map. your example Behemoth is small in comparison shooting across map from invis rocks to red base is much further than east to west tower, and that is easy. or from over shield cave entrance to red base cliffs ect ect. The halo 2 br is roughly 200 meters range. that easly spans infinites comp maps.
You literally said âacross the mapâ. Donât go moving goal posts here. Even if you were using the Halo 2 BR, it would not be able to be as effective as the infinite one in Behemoth.
Every time someone makes a comment about how the BR is better than every gun, they tell everyone âI donât understand why the BR is the starting weapon.â
The BR is there to give players a weapon they can use to protect themselves against power weapons. Without it youâre pretty helpless in that situation. It also demands you place all your shots. A 4 shot player is a good player, far better than a 5 or 6 shot player.
Yes it would. the ranges in those maps i mentioned that it does shoot at (like examples i gave) Are further than they are in behemoth. The H2 Battle rifle would do it just as easy. You are just being out shot and want mean gun to go away
Not really. If anything thatâs killing me itâs the constant nade spam and melees, but go ahead and believe youâre right because âtraditionâ and not the fact that the gun is literally the most powerful gun in the game thatâs not a power weapon.
Itâs not like Iâm Onyx in ranked right now or anything. Nope, Iâm just a bad player who is crying about something that Iâm being out played with. /s
ya i think the rank system is far too easy atm, with work and holidays havent grinded comp as much as i want. And i been doing multiple comp grinds at once. Between 2 accounts and 4 comp modes. 2 xplay and 2 controller. I got placed at diamond 2x and high plat 2x. pushed all 4 into mid to high diamond in one sitting on each placement push (1 per day i did it). my win % is pretty good but even when losing i never really lose rank. The only time i have is from game crash. So with my next set of pushes ill be in Onyx soon enough. Thats where most my friends are since they werent pushing multiple ranks lol.
i prefer the OG halo 2 ranks. it was an accomplishment just to break into the 30s
It really doesnât matter how long you say youâve been playing, does it? If it does, then my opinion outranks yours at 20 years halo experience. WHAT WILL YOU DO NOW, PUNY NOOB?
Kidding.
On topic; I can see where you might be coming from, since itâs how I felt about the âproâ way to play halo for a long time was always the precision weapon. This is a very nice return to the BR after suffering the dang magnum in 5 for so long, to me. I always thought it was funny that âpro playersâ canât stand playing the game as it was designed to be, so they make their own special rules that they call âproâ
Agreed, I believe AR starts promotes people to play for the power weapons in none campy and creative ways. As of right now with 16 grenades and the BR all from spawn becoming a cluster mess.
AR starts with the AR having a slight nerf will encourage use of going after other map weapons and controlling the weapon spawns not just powerweapons.
Ya Iâm not really sure entirely how it works, but it seems to look mostly at your individual score for the most part. I think it looks for an average of how you do and then calculates from there because I didnât really start losing points until D3 and it kinda varied. Iâve had bad games and lost a chunk and had to grind it back and Iâve had really good games score wise but still lost the match but only like a sliver of the bar moved. If it wasnât for the red indicator I probably wouldnât have noticed
I dunno what games youâre playing, but people in diamond are always vying for the power weapons and upgrades. Most of the big fights break out near the power weapon/upgrade spawns.
I dunno what to teall you? Force the pace with your team and flush them out? Its not exactly easy to camp in Halo when you can flush people out with grenade spams and power weapons.
wrong, it was a mid range weapon capable of long range. You werent killed cross map aside from a sniper or laser. This still happens today in MCC. BR starts are great and always have been.
