So two matches in a row I decide to use a rare mission victory RP boost. So I am obviously going to try my hardest to win. First match I get in it is 4 to 2 in Grifball my team was loosing. Before I even come to life we lost. Mission victory boost gone. I didn’t even to get play at all. But the boost was still used and I had no way at all to change the outcome of the game. Second time. I joined in 4 to 2 again. Came to life for about eight seconds and lost. You guys should really make sure that people who use boost have an opportunity to use them. Like put a freakin timer on or something…
How about you dont use a victory boost in a social mode. You wont join in progress at all, the game does not need to make a different searching parameter for those that use victory boosts.

The Join in Progress feature often gambles with people with boosts. Instead of a timer, people with boosts could be put into a pool of others that will allow them to start a brand new game. That way everyone using boosts has a balance start.
I know lagging out of games or being disconnected is also an issue with boosts but that dwells on the stability of the servers.
but I do agree with you OP that JIP often hurts boosts users.

there is still no reason to have it, those are a risk reward req, you play a mode with JIP you are risking joining a game in progress. The player is adding that variable not the game, the game should not have to account for the mistake of the player.
I agree, i sell all my boost that require to accomplish something special (Win, assist, kills,…) because of that. I think that when we choose a boost like this it need to pop-up in 1/4 or 1/2 of the time of the match and require you to confirm you want to use it or cancel it (but you can only cancel it 1 or 3 times) so you don’t loose the boost and you can’t know what could happen during the match.
Maybe you will think you are gonna loose the game and at the end you win it or vice-versa. Anyway i am gonna still selling those boosts
Arena boosts are crap anyway. They need to be worth a little bit more.
