Aren’t the rings hollow ?

In halo CE we go deep inside the ring to make our way to the control room right ? So why are we able to see the bottom of the ring within a mile radius as the pillars are in the air? Not only that but wouldn’t the ring look more like the one at the end of halo 3. In halo wars two when a portion of the ring is lifted it takes a while to completely lift from its own surface and are chunks that seem to be hundreds of thousands ft tall not pillars that seem to be 200ft tall. How do you expect anyone to believe you’re inside the ring in the control room scene when I just saw the bottom of the ring. Unless when you get to the edge of one of these lifted portions/barriers and look down to art of the inside of the ring similar to most of the halo trilogy’s backgrounds then I see a sense but if I see forge world space underneath a 100ft pillar Im just going to assume the game has lost all art and took the lazy way out. Halo to me is a ring shaped planet JUST LIKE A SHIELD WORLD not a ring shaped skinny bridge that I can fall off into orbit.

I believe it is as you stated one of those you get to the edge to truly see the size. Kinda like seeing a plane in the air, from the ground doesn’t look that high at all, im the air and everything is much different.

Although yes HW2 had the best looking rings.
