Halo 5’s maps, in my opinion, had a ton of potential, but came up short. One example is Plaza, it could have been halo 5’s version of turf/ district/skyline, but it just feels way too small and limited, which is really disapointing, considering that other city maps like Headlong and district were huge, and still had great gameplay. Fathom too had a lot of potential, but ended up just being a small rectangular box, instead of an entire underwater base. Another example, I would say would have to be possibly truth, mainly because they took out the prophet’s bane and changed the energy sword spawn and replaced it’s right full place with the plasma caster! (I don’t dislike the weapon, but I think that it has no place on midship) Also, two maps are just rehashed of maps already in the game. Finally, I really dislike the fact that the railgun, sniper, energy sword, plasma caster, and various power ups are the only power weapons you see on all of the maps, NOTE: by power weapons, I mean weapons that have the little green icon above them. I have a lot of fun with the game, but the maps honestly feel like a missed opportunity. Just my opinion, what do you think?

I agree, the maps could use some work, the maps are too complex, they need to make them more like the CE maps and the Reach maps.
Bit to small for a game where you can sprint, clamber, thruster. When you can move that fast, there doesn’t seem like that much variety with where you are and what you do.
The maps aren’t the best, yes, but they will release more which will be improved due to the feedback of the community.
I think 343i just messed up the style. The game is more fast paced and competitive, so the maps don’t fit with the game style.
Maps like The Rig and Plaza have sightlines everywhere
OP, you just compared an arena map to a BTB map and complained it was smaller.
