Everyone whp complains about there being a visible ranking system, complains on people acting like they are better than you. Isn’t smack talk a big part of the game, does no have an competitive drive left in them??
So, you can’t have competition without telling me you had -Yoink!- with my mom last night and that I’m a homosexual?
Interesting…
I can be competitive and want to win with out having a meaningless number next to my name.
I don’t see what smack talk has to do with being competitive, you can still be competitive without insulting the other team.
> I can be competitive and want to win with out having a meaningless number next to my name.
It’s not even that. I respect people who use that number as an incentive. That’s natural- e’rbody wants to be the best.
But when that number becomes something you have to show off- when making sure everyone knows you’re a 50 is the only reason you want it there, that’s when things get problematic.
Its called the mute button, the report button, or the private chat option.
Just because people are D bags doesn’t justify a reason for not having a decent multiplayer experience.

Stop promoting our cause if you can’t do it well. I want visible ranks for winning incentive and to have achievable goals. Visible ranks act as milestones.

This, so much of this. Insulting people and, to that same effect, their mothers, isn’t being competitive, it’s being a sleazy online jerk. Saying “OH DEER LORD I TOTALLY SHOT THAT GUY!” or, “WHAT THE BLAZES ARE YOU DOING TEAMMATE GRAB THE FLAG!” is what people say whilst being competitive.

The best way to smack talk is by letting them find out themselves how good you are
