I think you’re problem is you’re acting like this is the only promotion Infinite has. They already have other promotions going to engage other customers demographics. They haven’t really done much marketing with feminine products being involved, so this is very obviously aimed at an expanded customer base than the other promotions.

The nail polish isn’t trying to sell you a nail polish/ Infinite combo because they want your spartan wearing nail polish. They’re doing it because lots of females who use nail polish play games, and this is a way to encourage a gamer to try the nail polish brand, because then they get a cool bonus for something they like.

That actually makes sense. If you are Gold 6 the next rank is Diamond and if you have been doing really well the past sets of games, then the ranking system is seeing if can jump you up a few ranks to fit your skill set better. If you lost then it knows that you aren’t ready/at that skill yet.
