Seriously, seeing posts with full caps. “I WANT WHAT I PAYED FOR AND I WANT IT NOW!!!”
Are you all 3 year old children? Do you walk into a restaurant like, Texas Roadhouse, order your food, and then scream 30 seconds later that you want your food NAO??? I didnt think so, grow the -Yoink- up and chill the -Yoink- out, we will all get “what we payed for” when the problem is fixed.
doubtful, im still waiting for my spec code, now I’ve paid for something AGAIN, they can not deliver. I am waiting patiently but it doesnt mean we can’t complain about poor customer service.
Seeing how i dished out the money to almost buy another game for a series that in the past has been near flawless, i expect to get the things i am promised at the time of purchase on time. $20 dollars is a lot to me right now, between christmas gifts, college lifestyle, and Gas for my vehicle i would have gladly put that money towards these, but i invested my money into a game that continues the series that i have loved for ten years yet i have received a half finished broken game.
Look seriously if 343i wanted us to chill out, all they need is to put more info out there. they seem to in general just have a stony silence until a massive out cry, they blame the users for some how not conforming to what they wanted.
If there were a few more updates about developing situation, there would be a lot less all cap posts and a lot more placated players.
honestly the op is right. also most everyone is crying like little children and bashing 343 over a delay. it pathetic… it truly is. the vocalminority of this community is the WORST i have ever seen. ill wait patiently till 343 and microsoft gets it fixed with crying like a 3 year old.
> Will whats the hold up on the spec codes then?

I called MS, because i didnt get my specalization code, waited 24 hours, and it was in my xboxlive message inbox. Not sure what “hold up” your talking about. Get off your -Yoink!- and call or live chat with a agent. Will be solved in 5 minutes (after you wait for your turn)

I say complain to ms, because all 343 does is MAKE the dlc, ms releases it. I’m pissed i haven’t gotten it, but i’ll be patient. Think about this, xbox has had 3 or more dlc releases for skyrim, sony ps3 still have not recieved ANY dlc. That game has been out over a year.

dude, at least we get recognition for the problem THE SAME DAY it happened. not like we’re waiting weeks for a response.
Both the spec. and the dlc is a fault of Microsoft that 343 does not have control over.
I agree with the TC. Some of the posts on here make me sad for the community at this point. This is what happens in a world with no accountability where everyone is a special little snowflake that can do no wrong. You had to wait a few hours for a map pack? Tough. Learn to act like an adult and knock off the whining. Am I a little upset that I don’t get to spend the majority of my day off playing on the new maps? You bet I am. Am I going to throw a fit like a child on a forum because I didn’t get my way? Probably not. The people at 343i are being cool enough to keep us updated on the situation and for that much you should be grateful. I’ve been through enough game launches to know that most companies don’t even bother to keep their customers in the loop when things don’t go according to plan. I paid for the LE of Halo 4 and would love to be playing all day today, but it is not the end of the world. Grow up kids, there are a hell of a lot more pressing issues in the world then you not getting your way.
Do you pay long in advance for a meal at Texas Roadhouse, walk into the restaurant the day your reservation is for, order a meal having paid for it up front, and then get told by the server that the food is delayed, they don’t know why, and have no idea how long you’ll have to wait for it, while serving other currently paying customers without incident or obstacle?
That would be a more accurate analogy for what is happening here. Granted, people could most assuredly express their dissatisfaction in more constructive ways. But they most definitely have a right to complain and to be disgruntled customers.
This content is bought and paid for.
People who bought the pass are the ones most eager to support the game, and many of them are LE purchasers.
Right now, people who didn’t buy the pass can purchase and access this content.
This is only the most recent example of this sort of thing happening in Halo 4.
This is only the most recent example of this sort of thing happening in the videogame industry in general. This gen has been absolutely rife with this sort of problem, and after already having to jump through store selection, preorder, and edition hoops to gain access to basic in-game content almost constantly, people are very understandably a bit tired of it.
I love Halo 4. It’s in my opinion an excellent game in general, and I enjoy it immensely. But in any other industry, if someone complained about this sort of customer treatment and inefficient customer support, no fellow customer would say, “You’re just being self-entitled. Just be patient.” They would stand with their fellow consumer in recognizing that it wasn’t acceptable. Only in gaming does this sort of thing not only fly, but get actively defended by fellow customers.
As a a 28 year gamer, the current state of this industry and how customers are treated in it is so far outside of what the norm would be in any other industry, and it makes me quite sad frankly.
Yes, I encourage people to remain patient and not to be unconstructive. But their complaints are quite justified and understandable.
