I am right there with you. Played hundreds of hours in season 1, completed every weekly, every event, the BP. Trying to hype the game up to friends so theyll come join and play and then 343 keeps releasing game modes that we cant play together. I understand if it was ranked but in QP ALL game modes should have the ability to queue with friends.

There is still ranked? And given that you’ve got Six months to finish the Battle Pass… that should be plenty of time if you want to avoid chasing challenges to level up to 100 on your Battle Pass.
Its unranked, it should be fine to queue with your friends.

We have later on discussed parties matching together. I think that would be fine. But it is unfair to solo gamers to allow that as too open to foul play.
Honestly, who cares…its social. Create a ranked Last Man Standing and leave it solo queue.
The major issue with Infinite is a lack of options. If the game is making you play a game type for challenges, let us play with friends.

Considering it’s a camp fest and generally speaking slow paced, having friends where they might play more aggressively would only benefit the game mode.
I played last night and it’s a sweat fest and simply not enjoyable past 2 games. You should be able to have at least a party of 4, that still leaves 8 randoms to play.
My guess is that this season was planned a long time ago, they didn’t expect season 1 to be such a mess, but due to all the issues, they couldn’t change the planned season 2 without causing a major delay. 343 can’t be this out of touch… Can they?

I have plenty of criticism about decisions 343 has made and their games.
Disagree with the topic so I’m stating as such. Sometimes my opinion correlates with theirs or I can at the very least appreciate the thought process.
I have already said in this topic a better way of handling it is to allow parties to match together but never with solo players. So they could have done it better. But allowing solo only over party and solo is a result in my book.
If they leave and play something else, then who plays your favorite game Halo?
Now that would give you nothing to defend cause Halo would be played by no one (not smart).
Listen to the fans bro cause last I checked, thats all that’s left playing this game with steam numbers falling and “Not” this Broader audience that left months ago

I like the game, but none of us know how healthy the game is. I can get a game in any playlist very quickly when I play and skill levels are usually appropriate so I’m fine with what I’ve got.

Last spartan standing. How can you expect that mode to be playable with a party?? Then it’s duos or more at that point. Again. Enjoy the game modes. The game is amazing.

Dude. It’s a free game and an amazing one. All these updates and content are FREE. except for the season pass which is only less than $8. Come on man. Be grateful. Provide the feedback, let them listen so then they can get to work on providing what makes sense. And just enjoy the game.
Season 2’s launch is a bit of big deal for the game, new content is always welcoming and for the most of it, I’m having a good time. However, the launch is a bit lonely with the addition of Land Spartan Standing, a solo queue mode that just released and it feels a bit bad. I’ll explain:
The weekly event is progressed through challenges that are specifically tied to Last Spartan Standing, a game mode that is exclusively only queue-able when you’re playing alone. You cannot enjoy the the event and the unlockables of it with friends. You can only do so by playing alone, and as a result the arrival of a new season, something excited, feels a bit lonely.
The main attraction of the season’s launch cannot be enjoying with friends, the arguably most enjoyable way to play any iteration of Halo.
I think this highlights a couple of things: the challenge system can, and has, created tones on a weekly basis that shift from frustration to tolerable back and forth, again and again. It is at the peak with Last Spartan Standing focused challenges.
Game variants that lack pre-determined teams (FFA variants) are a double edged sword when considering queue sizes. I personally miss queueing FFA with my friends in a official lobby for XP back in older Halos, but under this challenge system I understand why we can’t and it’s more of a bummer than it is a tolerated thing.
