Gaming events r usually very good such as RTX, E3, GamesCom, TGS, And others out there. But I think midnight releases serve as a very good way to approach people that r buying the same game as you, along with getting to have fun at the events at which you go to. I think Halo releases have always served as a very good way for me to meet other Halo fans and mainly make new friends. i remember Halo 4’s midnight launch in 2012, it was probably one of the best times I’ve ever had, not only did I make up to about 50 friends that day but at the same time I was surrounded by people who liked the exact same thing as me. So I would like to know if any of you r going to Halo 5’s midnight release or are you just getting it digitally and skipping the midnight launch.
I agree. midnight releases are great because it’s just fans for one single thing that you all have in common. I’ll be going to a midnight release to try and snag an elite controller. I already preloaded guardians.
No. I’m not buying it at all.
I do agree though that midnight launches are awesome. I’ve gone to midnight launches for every other Halo game from H2 onward.
I’m going to try to go. It’d be great if I have a shift on the twenty sixth so I can go right after that.
I’ll be going to the midnight launching the app from my dashboard because I went digital.
I’m going for the Xbox One Elite Controller, I have Halo 5 preloaded so I’m just going for the controller

I will be doing the same as I am picking up my Guardians console next week.
I’m hoping the Windows Store has some free Halo swag for their midnight release too.
I am going to the midnight release.
Normally I would but I got the new console and that releases early. I’d go for trivia but they don’t really give out anything worthwhile anymore. Every time I go, people end up complaining that I don’t let other people answer…despite it being a contest. No need for that again.
Man, I’m not sure where y’all are with all these fun and exciting events at your midnight releases. In my town, you stand in line until there’s room in the store to continue standing in line.
Going digital with this release, lines are way to long to go for midnight releases here. God i remember the line for Halo 2, an hour wait in line. They let 4 people at a time in the store an they get to look around an decide on other percheses. No thank you.(Talking about Gamestop)
Edit:My favorite Midnight releases were Halo Reach and Gears of War 3, they gave everyone a chance to win stuff and compete in a contest while waiting in line… Highest score in Horde mode and what not.
No, I don’t like waiting unless i’m sitting down. I also don’t like lines, crowds etc. It’s too much like going to the DMV, where you stand there in a huge line and you start to get aches and pains from standing there doing nothing. I’ll have my crap pre loaded and ready to go at 9 PM PST, I might have to get some champagne.

Me and five of my friends have or are going digital this time. But, me and three others are also getting the elite controller. We will all still go to the midnight/11 p.m. release. One of my friends just wants to wear his new Master Chief armor in public. Plus we all haven’t missed a single Halo release except Halo CE but I didn’t own an Xbox at that time. I thought PS2 was life untill I played Halo.
Midnight releases at our local GameStop are pretty good. This year they are doing a Halo trivia contest. 1st and 2nd place get a digital copy of the game unless they changed the prize. I’ve never been so sure I was going to win something lol. We will see I guess.

Same here.
My local Microsoft store is throwing a party on the 26 from 8:00 PM to midnight. They’re gonna have cosplayers, giveaways, Halo 5 will be set up on everything. So yeah, I’m going to one. Ought to be awesome.
I will try if my gamestop is having one, otherwise I will have to wait till the next day.
Never bothered with them, always figured there’d be a -Yoink- there that just wants to vomit out spoilers to everyone in line to troll everyone, I want to avoid that. Plus it means I would have to stand in a line. nty

Interesting. Mine didn’t say anything about a party and I wasn’t planning on sticking around that long. Going to have to check
Going to the midnight launch in mu bedroom with the controller in my hand.
I will be at midnight release at gamestop. Always a fun experience.
