I think the digital is the only option for PC.
Personally I’m getting a physical copy, I like having the game in my hands and it looks better in a collection than squares on a tv.
Preordered the steelbook from gamestop because it happens to be the same price as the normal case.
That is what I did. When I saw that I got my pre-order changed from the normal to steelbook.
Paid off my physical preorder this week.
I pre-ordered the game on steam.
Went full digital, I’m ready for the meta verse.
Digital for me as well. Unless there’s a cool Collector’s Edition, I tend to go digital for most of my game purchases.
Got a digital code coming with the Halo Series X console today, might end up buying a physical copy as well though just for the collection.
I decided for myself to make Halo Infinite a special case for owning copies of these games and is officially and formally my final physical copy I will be buying on console for collection reasons and ceremonial reasons as a sendoff that I will be buying for the rest of my life for any video game of any kind. I already just bought the steam and gamepass (xbox and pc through microsoft store) versions and after Halo Infinite comes out next month, starting in 2022, every version will be a digital copy of any Halo future game or any video game in general. With games being downloaded now becoming the norm and the market for downloading games has completely outstripped physical copies. Its practically useless to even purchese a physical copy because the updates, patches, content, etc. is all digital anyways and most games you get on disc, you still have to download the game partially or fully and the disc is just there to check if you own a physical media license to the game is all it does now.
Pretty soon microsoft I bet will only be releasing future consoles without a disc media reader as they already have with the Xbox Series S so your going to see this as the way forward eventually. The PC market is basically 100% digital.
was going to buy physical copies for me and my son, but since they can’t be bothered to launch a complete game after 6 years I’ll be playing it through gamepass. I’ll buy physical copies for us if they announce they are firing bonnie ross though.
I’ve had my digital copy on pre-order since it became available on the Xbox store.
Have mine on Game Pass Ultimate, but I have the statue from Gamestop. I needed SOMETHING to show off with the rest of my Halo collection.
Digital. I have pre-loaded already. I used to always prefer physical copies, but digital is the way to go now.
