i still feel they dont fulfill thier role as a tank, unlike the marauder… or am i just wrong?
Wraiths still cost way too much pop for what they bring to the table. They explode almost immediately, and their ability is underwhelming. Every now and then I try them out again, and they just cannot roll.
They are very good but you have too upgrade them with that extra energy you save, they can not just roll out and do the damage needed. Scorch mortors is very good so that would be the first to get.
I don’t like wraiths right now, even with their “Y” ability. Even when upgraded fully with vehicle T3 they still die instantly, cost too much, and take up way to much population. Their sad excuse for a “Y” ability is like,“Oh yeah, scorch mortar! If I launch this in the battle and they stand on it and don’t move then they’ll take damage over time and make me have an advantage— oh wait never mind he moved.” I suggest they replace their “Y” ability with some sort of shot that stuns vehicles or just make the scorch mortar stick to them instead of the ground.

“Never cross swords with Wra-” *explodes violently
“Leave the remains as a warning to not build”
They die too quickly to be counted on instead of Mauraders. Give me a reason to make T3 vehicles please.
#makewraithsgreatagain
i build Choppers late game more than wraiths which is a sad history
Only if you’ve got mad money to burn.

^ exactly lol
I find that tanks and wraiths are under performing. Not counting grizzlies, those are actually really tough, they are “tanky”

So are Johnson’s Colossus…But people will always say Johnson’s trash even though he’s really good.

Colossus are the business. They’re only downfalls are their slow speed and high cost.
A death ball of Manti, Colossus, Nightinhales, and some Cyclops is so much fun to play around with: one of my favourite armies to use.

Colossus may be very slow and expsenive (I think their worth the price) their range in amazing. while slow they hit hard with that range being able to snipe some units before you realize it.
Engaging against a Johnson is dangerous, Mech Overcharge is a instant win for him.
I really love using Forge because of the Grizzlies but right now he is the hard meta, I just hope something happens to cool him off a bit so not everyone is using him
TheWall did a test against gauss hogs and the Wraiths merked the hogs. Both armies were same pop. Sure, the Wraiths had engineers too but in a real army a Banished should always have engis for their shields. I actually don’t think T3 vehicles need much of a buff. I think it’s starting to become like the thick hide marauder situation where no one uses them because they think they suck, and so they keep getting buffed until we eventually find out they are crazy OP. Yes, they have less health than marauders. But they have much more DPS and range, plus that Y ability really does work. I think they’re fairly viable right now.
Wraiths are ok if you use them opposite of how a tank is supposed to be used xD (hear me out)
You have to abuse their range and kite the enemy. You should support them with engineers, shrouds, and preferably a frontline of marauders and maybe reavers if necessary. (You don’t really need a lot of any of these units). 2-3 wraiths help dramatically increase your dps. You should never go full wraiths, way too weak. But their shield makes them ideal for skirmishing more than brawling. So as a shipmaster player I enjoy using them to take indirect engagements and chip away at the enemy.
I would like to see a buff to them in some regards however. I feel the shield could be more useful, that their cost is a little high, and lastly their Y ability is hot garbage, especially when you aren’t massing them which is what I actually suggested against anyways. Like someone suggested earlier, if they keep Y the same it should stick to the enemy, not just make a tiny aoe zone.
Maybe as Decimus, Colony and Voridus. Absolutely not when it comes to the stock ones.

Late game shipy wraith gets an speed buff from BR3 which is neat too
Hell ya…as Vordus. Never can have too much infusion pools. FeelsGoodMan.
They’re great with Ship. 6 Engineers, 4 Shrouds, 6 Reavers and 6 Locusts with 4 Wraiths are unstoppable.
…Against anyone other than Pavium😑
