In Co-Op campaign, we will be Master Chief clones. The reasons for doing this is because 343i meant for in certain parts of the story for the Master Chief to be alone.
Clones FTW! But seriously, if we used our own Spartans, there would be canon issues. The only reason it worked in Reach is because you were supposed to be playing as you, not as a character.

Yep itll be “Chief take the left” “Chief 2, You go high right” “Chief 3, You watch our flank” “Chief 4, Oh thats me, yeah um right, ill just set back here and watch.”

he said being our spartan would bring up canon issues

I understand that and I said, “A chief clone doesn’t bring up canon issues? lol”
I know using our S IV’s will break canon, but doesn’t “Co-op Campaign” already do that?
What will playing as our S IV’s really break if just having a co-op campaign is already breaking canon?
Did I just ask the same question in two different ways? Hmmm…
The real reason behind not having our S IV’s in co-op campaign is probably because of all the armor variation/configuration possibilities. 343i probably figured it would be too much work.

I really don’t think it would be that difficult to do if it could be done in Multiplayer, Spops(I love this name for it xD), and Custom Games…

Never said difficult, just more work. But yeah I love Spops too, lol.
Since there is confirmation of not playing as our own Spartan IVs, is there a reason 343i mentioned that explains how having more than 1 Chief does not break canon? If so, plz provide link. Thank you.
