Yeah the Gravity Hammer is coming back, but are we sure that the Jiralhanae are coming back? Now I’m probably wrong and they will return. What do you think?
well i would assume we would need to kill a brute to get a brute hammer unless the elites are so dominant over brutes that they now have heavy elite classes
I think they’re going to return.
There’s probably going to be a lot of tension between the Brutes and Elites though. It’s going to be interesting to see how they interact with each other and how they work together.
It’d be odd seeing Elites with Gravity Hammers.
And many Brutes were used by the new Elite factions, either forced to serve or choosing.
We aren’t sure. But it is likely.
However, we know that some Covenant factions, such as the Heretics, were apt to using human weapons, even though it was strictly against conventional Covenant practices. The Storm Covenant could be similar in that they are not opposed to using foreign technology, including surplus Brute weapons and gear.
I don’t know. I could see them including a Forerunner style hammer. I would be disappointed if we saw Brutes Return with only the hammer in tow.
I was a little unsure about this too but then I saw that the achievement was in the campaign, so unless Elites like to use Gravity Hammers now we’ll be seeing them. It actually does make sense, the Elites are low in numbers and power, they’re probably looking for all the troop they can get. Plus, many believe that anyone, no matter what race, deserves to be given a chance to be in the Covenant.

If they were with the storm they would more then likly use their weaponry, storm rifle and carbine.

Lots of new stuff on Hunter involvement. No pics yet… can’t wait.
Now that I think about it, since its an achievment, it could very well be one small part were the brutes show up and you get a hold of a hammer briefly.
Perhaps it will just be a mysteriously placed gravity hammer, with no reason to be there? It would be hidden somewhat out of sight, but could be found. In fact, it might have just been a mistake for the covenant to leave one lying around on a ship, and then they threw it overboard(?) Or perhaps one managed to be thrown through the portal at the ark and make its way to reqiem, and somehow make it on the surface?
IDK, but I’m not willing to bet that there are brutes; not with the serious tensions between them and the elites. besides, it wouldn’t be the first time that something showed up completely out of place with no explanation(ghosts on halo 3 legendary anyone?). It might just be one of those things to find.
I dunno. I figured that the Brutes wouldn’t be in the game, but maybe that’s not the case… but then, if any weapon was going to be in the game regardless of story, it’s the gravity hammer. The thing is essential to Grifball. That and the energy sword.

I’m assuming you haven’t read today’s bulletin.
There is an achievement mentioning killing a Hunter with a Gravity Hammer in one of the Campaign’s missions. So Gravity Hammers are confirmed to return in the Campaign. Whether or not this also means that the Brutes are returning is unconfirmed, however, it is strongly implied. But the return of the Hunters is set in stone now.
I’d assume so. without Brutes, who’d use the Gravity Hammer? can’t see Elites using it as they would never use Brute weapons because they hate the Brutes. Elites will definitely be the main leader class with maybe Brutes supporting them. makes me more and more think the Covenant is actually the Servants of Abiding Truth; as Brutes serve the Elites and the Elites are the leaders, and they still believe in the old Covenant religion (except the Prophets were false and the Halos were lies).
my question is: why did Frankie say “Grifball will be somewhat playable” if both the Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword are back? what, no Assault Gametype? yet another reason I have a hard time believing in some of the things Frankie says.

Umm couldn’t there be a Promethean version of the Hammer and class?
Frankie “confirmed” aren’t in Halo 4. But I’m having harder, and harder times relying on his “confirmations”.
