I notice that every other match of fiesta takes place on this map. I’ve played along obligingly as 343 pretended that it didn’t need to get the same “fixing” as Orion via 12 gauge behind the tool shed, but I fear I can’t keep the facade up any longer. Are we going to wait a little while longer before we give it the old yeller treatment, or does it just take one person to admit the problem before everyone else confesses that they felt the same way?
In my opinion overgrowth and plaza are both bad maps.

Overgrowth is terrible. Hate that map. Very uncomfortable. Should be removed in Arena period.
God I hope they DON’T remove it. Everything people whined about with power weapons got changed. Now when people complain about overgrowth they’re just doing it cause it’s popular to do.
I don’t think a majority people pretend that its good. Pretty sure most think its bad. Most of our complaints about lack of maps and garbage maps will go forever unfixed. Despite adding more reqs for the grind/ money machine. This game would be world a lot better if they added fresh maps.
It’s all subjective and boils down to opinion… Buuuut. It is a bad map in my opinion. In fact, most remixed maps (and the non remixed) are pretty bad.
But talking mostly about remixed maps including Overgrowth, all I have to say is that they are uninspired and unbalanced. It’s difficult to create a balanced experience from something that’s already prexisting. I don’t understand the defense of having remixed maps. Sure we’ll have a more maps, but those maps are not very good and are only to bloat the existing map count so 343 can gloat about the whole “20 maps at launch” deal which ultimately lead to a large debacle and backlash when they basically lied. (The game shipped with the 21 as they said it would but more than half were unoriginal… Being Forged or Remixed…)
But remixed maps are nothing more then what it would be like if an artist took the Mona Lisa and tried to paint something new out of it. It ends up being an unoriginal and unbalanced travesty that ruined the original grounwork of that said painting… Cause all that artist could do was draw a mustache on her, splash paint on it, and added a few trees and a house in the background and gave it to the masses and said it was new. It’s not.
There’s nothing 343 can do to “fix” these maps either. They were built without much thought. Taking them out doesn’t help varieties sake. Forge maps? Sure. Urban? Okay. Those can be tweaked a bit and taken out of matchmaking. But it speaks to 343s incompetence when the map is taken out during the first month and hasn’t returned since. But 343 needs to make original maps that aren’t too big (Torque) or too unbalanced (All the remixed maps.) but I agree OP. I was playing Fiesta too and got Overgrowth literally 8 of the 10 matches I played…
