Are we going to be able to at least play multiplayer customs on the campaign open world map?

I would just about assume everyone and their sister wants to see a battle royale or at least a FFA on the open world sandbox campaign map. How and why wouldnt this be possible? I’m assuming its a forge world because people are running around in it solo. It would be as simple as turning team killing on in co-op…

I remember hacking the xbox to play live before it was doable and using a program called gamespy to do it. lol. This was 20 years ago. I’d do it all over again to play a ffa on the campaign map. lol. I think the campaign should be played in an open worlded server where you can literally kill people just trying to play campaign lol. it would take forever. lol just to beat it.

Feel like Halo battle royale would be fun.

It would have to be swat. with civilians tho. Because battle royale with spartan armor and rechargeable shields would be dumb. because it would just be a camping peak fest until someone got a 1 shot weapon.

I think they would need to mess with some weapon attributes to make it work. That’s where the Halo REQ weapons would be very helpful.

You would for sure need to be able to build a loadout too.

I personally don’t want a BR and I highly doubt we’d be able to play multiplayer on the campaign map. They’re struggling doing coop neveind competitive.

As cool as that sounds I think you underestimate how simple that task is.

Also, yeah I hooked up my Xbox to my router and played Halo 1 online by using a program that was a list of player hosted servers and it fooled the Xbox into thinking we were Lanning. I played a lot of ctf doubles with people with my friend that way.

Imo, considering how often they’ve previously cut up campaign sections to use for multiplayer maps they’d be fools not to do this.

But, they’d have to split them up. Obviously haven’t played it but it sure looks like the campaign map could house a dozen forge worlds in it.

That sounds awesome though lol, plz give us all that space when forge comes out!!!

Yeh, but remember we were like 13 and were just learning about ip addresses and port forwarding and it totally felt like we were hackers. lol. even tho we just googled it and copy pastaed everything in. lol. cuz ya know the matrix was big film at the time ect.

is it true you can go anywhere you can see in the campaign? like theres no fake terrain.

Idk find out in a few hours time lol. I know the map is huge and there’s next to no invisible walls or kill boundaries, so sounds like it?

how did people even get to play it already?.. was there a campaign flight? or something?..
