I was playing TF2 recently and every year they have this Halloween event. Come to think of it, many other live-service games also have their own halloween events. I’m just wondering, how difficult is it to feasibly put together a halloween event like some of the other events and use it to introduce infection? This would be the perfect time to introduce such a highly-requested mode to the community, and we’re just letting it slip by like this? Damn.

well we got Easter stuff for Halloween, so maybe we’ll be lucky and get Halloween stuff by New Years

No, probably not.
You gotta’ understand just how far behind schedule the game is. This year they are pushing out literally every single thing that has ever been leaked pre-release. They’re looking to relaunch in March.
You’ll get a Halloween event next year! But not this year.
Halloween has been delayed until May.

They made the tough decision to cancel Halloween for release.
Luckily Halloween means zip to me.
The only good pumpkin is a roasted one. Slathered in gravy. Or in a soup.
But while I get that 343 have other things to prioritise heading into Season 2.5 and Season 3 (they just have to nail that one)… it is frustrating, slash comical, that we aren’t getting a bit of effort around events.
It is currently the week of the biggest HCS event of the year, the Halo World Championships. We have another recycled/generic shop, no in-game events. Only effort they put was the Twitch drops to help with the stream viewership.

Maybe we’ll get a gharish coating.
Just likely more low-effort ugly stuff. Nearly every event has been like that. The delayed Easter included.

I don’t even want a Halloween event. I want an infection game mode and playlist that I can play with upwards of 24 players on some incredible map infection specific maps.
