I’ve heard people talk about certain campaign DCL ideas they have, but I don’t recall 343 announcing that there was even going to be any.
Can anyone confirm or deny that DLC will be in the game? Or was it just an assumption?

In all seriousness I would not expect anything soon especially before their post launch updates to add co-op and Forge but I could be surprised.

Based on their wording “halo infinite is going to a platform for halo for the next 10 years.” many interpret that as a nod to continued story dlc.
However there has been no official “hey we’re doing dlc” as of yet.

It’s a nod to the great reset because the great reset is slated for 2030.
Halo infinite was suppose to release in 2020.
10 year plan wouldve been counted up to. 2030

That’s why everything is moving to a live service model because they don’t want you owning anything. They want you subscribing and paying monthly or daily on products.
Facebook meta also works hand and hand with this because they are trying to move us into a digital space where all you will own is digtal assets and not real ones.

I’m pretty sure it was actually this really creepy advertising that said “You will own nothing, and you will be happy” I don’t think it has anything to do with covid
If they add DLC it better not be 30-60$ either… unless it adds a crap ton to the game.

Given that this is a “platform for the next decade of Halo,” yes, we’re almost certainly going to see additional campaigns added over time, as well as other PvE fare like something akin to a Firefight mode.
That said, I don’t think we’ll see much if any of that until 2023 at the earliest, given how many core features are still absent here at launch and aren’t slated to arrive until about halfway through 2022.
I do expect 343 to set expectations about what/when we can expect to see more single player stuff sometime this upcoming year, though.

I mean, no spoilers (idk what you’ve seen) but it’s very heavily implied there’s more story, especially in the Legendary ending.
The problem, however, is that the game so far is extremely barebones, repetitive, and boring, and the DLC will undoubtedly cost even more money. As if 343 didn’t rip us off enough already.
Pretty sure the Campaign is meant to have 3 chapters, because the Legendary special ending cutscene and talk of the Endless implies we would be getting more Endless content in a future DLC. It wouldn’t make sense to make a whole new Halo when the Endless are still on the Zeta ring. A ton of the campaign was cut so they could release the game sooner. Whether or not they patch it in as a free update or slimeball us and sell it as a DLC, who knows? All I can say is that this adventure for Master Chief took place in such a tiny area of the entire Zeta ring, so it wouldn’t make sense to not expand more of the map. There’s still whole vehicles, bosses, weapons, item pickups, islands, mountains, caves, and lakes being unused in a kill barrier on The Run/House of Reckoning island.
