Hi!
I’m new to the Waypoint Community, I know I shouldn’t be posting so early, but I would like to know if the Warzone Marines are real?
Most people would say that they’re part of the simulation, but if you listen closely to a Marine, he/she (are there any female models for marines in Warzone?) would regularly express opinions to the Player, such as “You go Spartan!” Or “We’ve got Spartans with us!”. The quote that made me spark this topic is a Marine saying “This is what we’ve been training for!” before he was directly hit by a Scorpion tank shell, effectively blowing both of us up.
If they are real, then i’d regret picking up a BR with Kinetic bolts, then disintegrating an entire Garage of human soldiers ;-;
I’d like some people to reply to this topic, not that anybody will…hehe, but I’d like to know what this community thinks about this post.

Warzone is technically a simulation, so no.

I assume not since the commendation for killing them is called “Marine Replicant Slayer”, which infers they are replications of marines

replicants is a fancy word for clones
so maybe they are grown just for warzone fodder
In terms of canon: no, they aren’t. They are just part if the Warzone simulation, not actual Marines training alongside the Spartans.

If so, then -Yoink!-, that one woman must’ve been busy, seeing as all Marines are identical in voice, personality and appearance, or maybe they’re just flash clones for the simulation hmm?

True, the entire game isn’t real, it’s a fictional story started by Bungie, then later was continued by a sub company focused on Halo solely named 343 Industries, after the monitor 343 Guilty Spark.
What i’m asking on this forum, is, are the Warzone Marines, atleast alive? It may be a simulation, but Spartans die and respawn, if the player isn’t real, then what point is it to spend millions of dollars building a simulation to train Spartan-IV sucessors? So the newcomers could just watch and imitate them?
Someone is gonna reply “It’s just a game” ;-;
I’m asking, how does War Games fit into the Halo Universe lore, if most of it isn’t even Canon?..
Oh, and I don’t feel bad for Marines, I just regret disintegrating them, not killing them.
