I have been having many issues with my team putting obviously superior and more consistent firepower on bosses only to have the kill stolen at the last lifepoint by seemingly one man with a BR.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Is this how the Bosses are intended to work?
Shouldn’t there be some sort of DPS calculating algorithm that awards the takedown based on damage output by team at the last lifepoint (or is it there, but busted)?
Something that my friends and I were discussing is that it should award points based upon how much damage your team does to the boss, and I personally think that the point value should be lowered to 100

I think that’s how it’s supposed to be it makes it more of zone out the enemies while we do damage a more team oriented idea
My warzone team and I keep talking about this. We can’t decide how to best change it. I swear this one time we had a wraith, two ghosts, and a few guys on foot against a boss and somehow the other team snags the kill with a long range BR. Maybe they should lower the VP from 150 to 50 and make more NPCs throughout the match so one stolen kill doesn’t swing the game so much.
I like the aspect of “if this team gets the kill, they win”, so maybe some fine-tuning is in order. Make sure kill is assigned to the rightful team for the full amount of points, but also credit some work to the opposition on a lesser ratio. I believe some competiton would be lost if opposing teams were capable of a perfect 50/50 split.
I vote for implementing some mechanic that measures DPS per team during a specific time span of death. This span will allow for the final tank round to count and not not accidentally leave 1hp just for the one opposing spartan with the BR. instead, active fire and damage from a range of frames or milliseconds will be measured against the opponent’s.
Hell, let the kill feed wait a few seconds before displaying who killed it in order to let it calculate if you cannot make it fast, maybe even give the boss a longer death animation to keep us busy while we wait. Anything is better than this lol.
