All the positive PR in the world wont help here. Most have given up and moved on. Nothing is being done and it would take a minor miracle to save this game. Its really funny how its just being ignored in the media. Nobody wants anything to do with this disaster. Halo Infinite is not good.
I try hard but not well!
I think I’m still playing ‘cause I like pressing the trigger four times over And over.
Basically just shooting stuff while I unwind.
The forums have definitely died down—- people went crazy for awhile but most have gone.
I’d hate to see what you view as a shallow pool of content…… Pretty much anything makes you happy, eh?
Nonetheless, happy you’re an eternal optimist. One of the few remaining.
To address your “play the game” comment, I have. That’s why I’m so disappointed.
I view poor content as what the Forza (Horizon in particular) series has become. Far too many cars compared to customization. Sure, more cars are cool, but when they all are the same in terms of customization it isn’t as exciting when you get a new car. I was hoping the latest installment would be different, but it isn’t.
Lol um bro forza is a car simulator meant to allow you to drive many different cars. Each ones different each bit of custimization is different. If youre saying this you havent seen whats been added to horizon in the last few years not to mention the communities expanding wrap creators. Sure you cant customize like need for speed or even how midnight club was. Each car looks different. In the horizon series theres cars in game that exist only as toys irl. But im not trying to hype up the game for you. Honestly if you want to say forza has a lack of content i want you to compare it to halo after the same amount of time. Youll see forza has a good chunk more to keep people coming back.
And infinite is missing more than just coop and forge. Theres firefight about 6 or so game modes of just regular multiplayer. not to mention how even custom games features are minimal right now not even allowing you to change your starting equipment only the usual like weapons health nades movement and whats possibly on the map. (Depending on weather you customize the fiesta game mode or not)
Dont think for a minute that anyone on these forums hasnt at least played infinte let alone the others
Have you played the original Horizon? It had lots of customization. Forza Motorsport 4 had tons too. Forza Horizon 5 lacks that, as well as a “story”.
This part in particular though is what Horizon is. A competitor to NFS. It should have more customization features. What NFS lacks in car count, it makes up for in customization (see NFS 2015).
The problem Forza had (which I don’t see as heavily in Infinite) is:
lack of story (Halo does not)
Lack of customization (Halo Infinite does not)
Lack of good music (Halo Infinite seems to be pretty good)
Lack of good multiplayer functions (Halo Infinite is closest in this regard, while the multiplayer has the potential to be good, some things drag it down.)
Honestly I only play due Ng the first few days of each week I knockout the challenges and than go back to playing Pkmn Arceus
Once we get cross core the Armor customization will open up more. Right now the core system really just feels purposely restrictive for the purpose of selling players the same.item.ovef an Dover… Kinda like scarlet wake red. Sold individually for each of the first three cores
No, even the “try hard HCS” players are unhappy with the game, so much so they’re prepared to violate their contracts terms of conditions and speak out openly in regards to the games short comings.
Honestly, if it wasn’t for the list of paid content creators whom are paid to only speak positively about the game, things would be a lot worse.
1 month into season 2 now, not a single weekly update. No idea where they are at with fixing season 1 issues.
I think customization is pretty good in this game. I don’t want too heavy of crosscore (I’d want MK VII be Halo 4/5 designs and MK VI/V [B] be Bungie era), but I do want coatings to be crosscore.
I’m curious as to how far they’re willing to allow customization over different cores. Some seem pretty easy, coats and visor colors in particular. Maybe some/most universal helmet, armor and leg accessories and so forth, but not everything is going to be easily to move over entire. Biggest ones are ones that will badly clip other cores.
Are I want cross core heavily and just allow each individual ayer to chose how far they go with it’s
You seem like someone who would use it to a extreme extent which is fine but me I would be mkxxing some of the reach stuff with my MK 7 and some of that new Core.
I don’t really understand your perspective when you say you don’t want it to heavily. Given that you would have the choice to not use the system heavily if let’s say all the peices for cannon armor we’re cross core without clipping.
Are you saying you don’t want to see other players using it that heavily?
What really bugs me a out the customization is how we only got 10 default colors at start. I’m referring to the Cadet colors.
In Halo 5 we had 60, given how they forced the coating system on players for the new Halo Game, I was under the impression that we would start the game off with those same 60 default colors. Since we were losing what felt like a key aspect of previous games.
The main argument I hear against this was oh well ots free to play so they have to monetize stuff. To which I don’t think it holds up well. As that means the Devs decided to paywall 50 generic colors, due to not being able to come up with actually unique designs to fill out a store for the next 10 yrs, which just seems like poor planning.
Really I would have started the players off with the 60 default colors as cadet colors. And even integrated those same colors into the weapons and vehicles
Off the top of my head I can easily think of 1000 or more unique color coatings that can fill out the next year in content just in coatings alone.
Yes, I think that some attachments should not be available for Mark V [B]. However, I do think that helmets could probably fit onto it in some cases. Mostly I just don’t want the core system to be thrown away, since I think it could be a good idea.
I do pretty good in matchmaking, I recently hoped on halo mcc and found my self always at the top of my team… am I sweating now, is this what this game made of me? Because before I would kill a bit but have a kd of -5 to -10.
Nah you’re probably playing against smurf accounts already. The fact that sbmm is in social gamemodes really ruins any chance of enjoying the game. You have 1 or 2 games where you get in the zone and magically they expect it everygame. Its feels like a chore to play.
It sounds more or less like be ause of your personal preference you would rather the game.limit what other players can decide to use with customizations.
Idk I can never get behind this, to me it’s like me saying I don’t like it so I don’t want anyone else to have it. Be ause I don’t like it, I would love to see what creative things I can come up with with a very free cross core system.
Now if you don’t like how I chose it I don’t think that is something major to outright prevent other players from not being able to access it. If the items can work without major clipping issues.
The core system in general is a good Reset to default system, for example let’s say you went and mixed and matched all your stuff. But aren’t really happy with that configuration… You would have. An option for total reset maybe have a locked in preset. So when you hit total.reaet it resets that specific core to that specific cores only parts that you preset for it.
And than if if a player wants to mix other parts on that core again they can do so, if they don’t like it they reset it back to the default core look.
This way you still have a core system, but it’s not restricted to just that core if you choose want to use it.
Kinda get what I mean.
Like the reset will remove all items not specific to that core and put the default items on it.
I think Anthem had something like this, in a way, you customize your javelin but if you wanted to start over you could reset it back to the default start look.
With the Cores it would work the same but just simply put your Armore back to it’s default core.
Also they need to make sure that the cross core items are labeled with the specific core it’s from.
I think for those who want to stick with the specific core system that’s going to be a critical destination when Cross core does arrive.
Did you play the original forza?. You want to talk about no story play forza motorsport the og. All you do is race around famous tracks in different cars. And you compare horizon 5 to the original horizon. honestly id compare infinite to reach at that point or 5 or even 4 in terms of customization not to mention how much of it is free
Infinite lacks all of those compared to its predecessors and honestly i had more fun playing 5s campaign. infinte felt like a drag if you didnt blitz the missions which mind you can be done in 3 hours on heroic without the tank gun.
As for need for speed it had a good soundtrack and custimization since underground heck most wanted is my favorite to this day. Awesome cars banger soundtrack and fun driving controls for the time. Lately the soundtrack hasnt been great and the custimization hasnt really changed its pretty much the same custimization every time and so is forza the one series that had them beat was midnight club in terms of custimization but i havent seen that series since 08
Each game has a bit of give and take between each one but when it comes to games in a series ya know nfs with its custimization forza with its cars and tuning plus its minimal but realistic customization (colors designs sometimes a bumper or something that isnt a standard forza bumper, fin, or hood slapped on a car)
So why should halo be any different. Between ce to reach not much changed but a lot was added controls were refined yada yada. But 4 5 and infinte have been highly different not only from eachother all coming from one company but are also entirely different in play style from the originals. og custimization was limited to one body style and a bunch of colors not sure if emblems were there yet dont remember. In 2 we got a bit more with customizable c ppl lors getting 2 plus our emblems. 3 gave us the start of what we know now as core custimization. It was high end for the time but is the bare minimum for the industry now. We had tons of armor for both elites and spartans and stuff the previous games had. Not to mention the amount of game modes we started with in 3 was what we had in 2 and further added upon at the start and as time went on. Reach was minimal on elites but heavy on spartan custimization. 4 turned around and said nope now the spartans have to run in uniform no more rouge mods. 5 well i didnt touch 5s mp. And now infinite everything is behind a paywall or a grind that no one wants to do as there are too many other games out there to play
