… Of not changing it up enough? I can’t help but notice a pattern amongst the reviews for the game. A large portion of the game’s reviews are dented by claims made by the reviewers stating that “Halo 4 is more of the same”.
Are they actually being serious? Bad trolls? Blind?
Here’s What Halo 4 Has Changed:
Character designs across both the UNSC and Covenant have been heavily modified in many cases.
All weapons and sound effects have been completely re-done.
A soundtrack that isn’t afraid to completely ditch the Halo theme.
Multiplayer has been extremely modified to suit today’s standards.
An entire new enemy class has been created with their own arsenal of weapons that act significantly more different than UNSC and Covenant weapons.
EPISODIC Co-Op Content for ten weeks. What other AAA Shooter has done this? None.
Forge Mode has been revamped to the point that a toddler could craft the Death Star if they really felt like it.
Mo-cap and CGI on par with James Cameron movies.
So what is enough change for these people? To be honest, I’m afraid to find out.
If they don’t comment then they appear like sheep, which is the worst they could do as reviewers. I suppose to them it’s better to appear to stand for something rather than just say what everyone else is saying.
Personally I’m really looking forward to 343i’s version of Halo, who cares what critics say anyhow.
It’s all opinion anyways. Does Halo 4 deserve a perfect score? In my opinion no, but there are a lot of them. The only game I would ever rate above 9.5 is Gauntlet Legends. It has survived the test of time and I will be playing that game when I am 70.
It think they were referring to the gameplay, and not the visual aesthetics. In which case they would be right. Though that core gameplay is what makes Halo so great, and 343 would be very foolish to change it too much.
> > Reviewers like IGN don’t even appreciate what Halo has to offer imo.

> I’m pretty sure that IGN’s Halo reviewer got something out of the game after that 9.8.
I know…
But the reviewers who do say that Halo 4 is just the same as the past Halo’s… Really? Just look at the examples in the original post, that seems like a lot of change and makes Halo 4 really unique.
Changing the visuals and sound effects doesn’t make any difference. The Anniversary edition has different graphics, designs and sound effects, but it’s still a re-released game.
Entire new enemy class is stretching it a bit. As far as I can tell there’s only like, 3 new enemy designs (after removing several Coventant forces too) that many people would feel isn’t enough of a change, or that while they’re surprising at the start of the game, still play the same at the end.
Co-Op content for 10 weeks can’t be judged at this moment.
There are some changes that some could see as a step back (ie bleedthrough, health, shields, etc.).
and you also forgot change in relation to other games. Just because you haven’t done it in Halo, doesn’t mean you haven’t done it in another game.
Reviewers really have a casual mindset. They just look at the surface and say more of the same. Its the Die hard fans that Know that halo 4 is going to feel familar but also a lot different than bungie’s halo.

That the updated version of “Wizard needs food badly”?
Played that game in the arcade and loved it!!! Is the remake really that good?
