Are they fixing aim acceleration?

Cus it is seriously putting a damper on my enjoyment.

Edit: http://youtu.be/UmGc_rpjGzo this video shows the issue.

Just get good bro. It’s not delivery, it’s Taco Bell.

There is a long post on Reddit which 343 replied to. They are not changing the aiming as it is deemed the best route for ESports. It is one of those things people will just have to get used to.

It’s not a matter of good or not. It’s a matter of deadzones being screwed up.

I love how a bunch of people come forward and state that they dislike how it is. Seriously like hundreds of people and they basicly say too bad.

I’m surprised they’re not listening. It just goes to show where their loyalty lies. They want to get into the esports scene rather than appeal to longtime halo fans. It’s a huge shame and I’m embarrassed that I even supported them.

I have no problem with the aiming though, It feels fine to me. Love it when I hear the announcer say, “Peeerfeeect”

I mean I enjoy the game. However the aiming just isnt right and it bugs the hell out of me that they wont fix it.

Wow, SMH. If you’re not willing to fix something as basic as a major aim issue then what’s the point of getting 343 to fix other stuff.

the issue tends to be aim acceleration and deadzones, which acceleration is based on preference, just like sensitivity. and deadzones should be similar to other games. the low aim assist is perfect and I wouldn’t change it though.

A lot of people in the eSports scene are long time Halo fans. We’re you unaware of all of the tournaments throughout Halo’s history?

Can someone find the link to this response from 343? It doesn’t sound like the GhostAyame response.

A quote from XIM’s creator Obsiv regarding the look mechanic.

> “The Halo community (XIM and controller gamers alike) have been talking about Halo 5’s surprise changes to how it aims. XIM’s Smart Translator system gives us an insight into how every game developer designs their aiming systems. I can tell you after studying the data that 343 has done a great disservice to the Halo community.343 changed Halo aim by splitting the stick into 2 separate regions: aim and turn. They also chose this point seeming arbitrarily as well before maximum stick deflection. Meaning, any player that accidentally goes beyond this point (such as during the heat of a fire fight) will find their reticle jump. The speed gap between “aim” and “turn” is very large. Instead of moving towards a good example of an aiming system (i.e. CoD and BF), they went completely the other way.Something as fundamental as aim should be customizable. There is no single solution for everyone (certainly not what they changed here). It is our hope that 343 will realize this mistake and fix their game.”

Thank you. It is embarrassing that they are saying they did this on purpose.

Woah really? Can you provide a link?

I love the way aiming is and always have since the beta. They better not change it.

Rather than forcing large crappy deadzones on us, why not give us a low and high option? They allow us to customise sensitivity, the 360 had an inbuilt feature allowing you to disable aim assist, and Xbox’s very own Titanfall allows you to select deadzone preferences…

These deadzones suck and are my only problem with an otherwise perfect multiplayer (gameplay wise).

Ironic because the beta didn’t have these giant deadzones, the final game ADDED it. So if you loved the game since beta you’d want smaller deadzones lmao.

the beta didn’t have the same aiming mechanics, that’s what a lot of peoples complaints are, is that it’s different from the beta and nobody asked for them to change it.
