Are they even listening to us?

i’m not one to complain, but i see a lot of diffrent things on this site. wether it’s adding and removing things i don’t think all of us are happy
does 343 really think they can keep all the Halo fans? they don’t seem to listen to a word we say…

Inb4halo4defenseforce.

They’re too busy with Twitter, Facebook, Halo Council, and Neogaf to actually use their own bloody forums.

Of coarse they won’t be able to make everyone happy. I believe they do, in fact, read these forums. The lack of official responses from the team are perpetuating the frustration felt by the community though. Even on the World of Warcraft forums (used to play back in the day) if a thread gets enough attention, it will get an official response from a Blizzard staff member. I am one to give 343i a lot of credit, but I think they are doing wrong by the community to be silent to our concerns.

I think every fan would appreciate some form of communication from 343. Even just to justify why they have done certain things.

Probably not, and I don’t blame them, because the forums are overflowing with threads that sound like “waaaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I don’t like this! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaa! 343 are poopyheads! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I’m uncomfortable with change! Waaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” If you ran a company with forums like this, would you acknowledge this kind of annoyance? Any important threads, such as ones reporting glitches, are handled appropriately, so they obviously do care about their product.

Are they even listening to us?

short answer… No.

Just wait for the TU in January guys, hopefully that will fix the majority of the problems mentioned.

of course they are listening but there is no way to make everyone happy. people want the dmr nerfed or removed but then that will piss all those who is it off and people want better maps but there is no way to please those people either as thee maps will be too big or too small or have to many vehicles. The company has to take time when making changes as they have to test and make sure what they are adding isn’t breaking what already works or creates even more problems. People have to give them time to fix things. People come oon here and complain that it isn’t hard to fix everything yet it must be or games that release yearly would not have any mistakes because the developers would just release a patch and everything would play perfectly not only that but it would also take less time to release a new game if everything was so simple to design.

what makes you think that they dont listen?

> Probably not, so they obviously do not care about their product.

there you go i fixed it for you

> what makes you think that they dont listen?

I guess some employee from 343 not replying to every single complaint thread and post means “not listening”.

i’m talking about the big complaints that have 1000+ people supporting it

They probably do go through and read these forums but as for replying to them I can understand why they don’t. This forum is filled with stupidity and childishness and 343i can have better and more constructive conversations about the game through other outlets.

“yes we are listening and we care deeply about the community” -no 343 employee ever

I wonder if people realize they aren’t forced to play Halo 4? If you don’t like it, you are allowed to leave. No one is forcing you to stay.

Please read the weekly bulletins.

They read the forums and respond in a collective update every week.

Many of the changes you are talking about will be addressed in the Title Update that is coming early 2013.

Please read the information that 343i does give us before accusing them of not listening.

i think its a small, vocal minority complaining about everything in the game… halo 4 is pretty fun.

but i’d play a classic playlist if they made it like halo 3. i’m not talking about slayer pro, i’m talking about classic halo 3: no sprinting, weapons on the map, same loadouts… that kind of jazz.

They are listening.

I don’t blame them for not posting on the forums though, a lot of people on here post some pretty ridiculous stuff.

Anyways, the weekly bulletins are where you should look to see if they are listening.

You think there wasn’t childishness on the WoW forums? Here’s how it usually worked, there would be an intelligent and well thought out argument for why “X” mechanic or ability was broken. Then thousands of people reply with people either agreeing, or disagreeing with that point. Some would be childish game, bashing -Yoink-…but some others would be mature adults about it. Eventually the team would recognize after thousands of replies that something needed to be fixed and they responded appropriately. Long story short, every games forums has children who act as though they are entitled to whatever they want, but that shouldn’t stop a developer from addressing the people who really do have well thought out arguments.

> Just wait for the TU in January guys, hopefully that will fix the majority of the problems mentioned.

first they might not actually fix the problems people complain about and second don’t you think it is a little too late for this which should have been here since day 1 instead of rushing out the game in a weak attempt to beat cod
