With the new information that has come out recently, most of you have already probably seen the promethean pistol that was hidden within the new UNSC weapons video. Also, a while back, the community found this image of what appears to be some sort of promethean SMG. Looking at the pistol in the new trailer, I noticed that the shape of the icon looks like the shape of the promethean weapon which people assume to be a SMG. What do you guys think? Do you think they are the same weapon, or entirely different?
Oops, accidentally voted yes. I’m pretty sure these are not the same gun, the new flame-pistol looks much more like this.

Maybe. Although, that gun does seen a bit bulky. Maybe I’m just looking at it from the wrong perspective.

I thought this too, but from looking at the promethean pistol icon, it looks like it has the exact same shape as the supposed promethean SMG. The SMG does seem longer though, so I could be completely wrong.

I think he means that the SAW fills the niche once covered by the SMG as a close range automatic beast.
It doesn’t look like it. The pic with blue skies shows that weapon being a little more bigger and pudgy.

Indeed, it’s so far one of my favorite UNSC weapons. Although, an automatic sidearm would be nice.

This. They look extremely similar.
If there’s only going to be tiny differences between the appearances of weapons, that’s kinda bad.
