I’m having so much trouble trying to play MP with halo infinite. I keep losing connection with the servers.
If I’m lucky and manage to load into a game, when it’s over I get booted from servers and have to restart the game and xbox. Its been 40mins and I’ve played 1 game and that was laggy as he’ll. My internet is fine nothing wrong with it. My NAT type is open. I’ve checked everything and still I can’t connect to the servers. I’ve reported every crash that i can. So far I’m up to 15 reports and thats just from this week that I kept count.
If anyone is from the EU please comment and let me know what’s it like for you and if you have any tips on how I can have at least a good connection. I live in Ireland and out of the 2 servers in the EU one of them is in Ireland!

I am from Westmeath. No issues here. Check for updates maybe?. Wireless or wired connection?. What Mbps is your connection?

I’m from Czech republic and instead of broken BTB, everything works just fine with aprox 25-35 ms latency with NAT moderate.

I am from Germany and I am mostly fine. There are a few rounds with high ping, but it is usually around 20

I’m playing from Japan. Some games I play have good ping, but most are around 150.
Makes SWAT very painful.

I’ll check for updates.
Currently I’m Wireless.
I’ve checked the WiFi signal and the room where my xbox is in I’m getting 86% signal strength.
Mbps
Download is 84.5
Upload is 19.23
Thanks for help.
I’ve restarted the game, xbox and even the WiFi router. Put it on 2.4hgz and 5ghz. Even went into the DNS and tried different signals and port selections but still keep getting dropped.
I’ve googled Halo infinite servers and the results of servers crashing is quite high.
Most detected problems.
Server connection is at 78%
Website is at 12%
Game play is at 10%
Do you have open NAT type? Are you experiencing packet loss? What’s your ping?
Switching to a wired connection may be a good option.
Edit: sorry I do see the ping and NAT in the original post

NAT type is open and I my ping does be all over the place.
Worst 257ms
Bad 100ms
Average 80ms
Good 25ms to 30ms
Best 10ms
But even at 10ms it stills lags. Unstable connection, Packet loss, matchmaking cancelled, dropped from dedicated server, can’t connect to server, removed from server, can’t connect to fireteam, all of these have happened to me.
Have you tried the detailed network statistics in the xbox settings? You could run a test there and get some info…if you see packet loss there your wireless connection probably just isn’t good.

Mt current statistics is
Download speed - 83.54Mbps
Upload speed - 19.00Mbps
Packet loss - 0%
MTU - 1480
Latency - 25ms
Wireless strength - 92%
I honestly don’t know how I cant play infinite. It must just be the servers and not my xbox or WiFi?
Hmm yeah those stats aren’t bad. Is your router near your console? If it’s obstructed by something like a wall that isn’t ideal…but if it is close by, it may be worth connecting an Ethernet cable from the router to the Xbox. At least to try. That would at least isolate your issue and then you could confirm it isn’t your connection.

There’s definitely foreign service because it keeps putting my East Coast butt in a 205 ping server which is ridiculous. I’ve said this before I don’t know if the game‘s dying and there’s not enough players. But I go for my few games at my regular paying of 25 because I have really good Internet and then it starts put me in 80 90 250 ping servers and I’m like what the hell

Think your right with that. My router is downstairs so nowhere near my xbox. I might bring it downstairs and hook up an Ethernet cable and see whats it like. At this point I’ve tried everything at least 5 times over. I’m off for a few days so I’ll try that. Gawd I miss the Halo 3 days with my crappy modem and how great local play was. Life was good back then less stats and numbers to deal with.
Cheers for the help man. Honestly glad I can reach out and there’s always someone to help.

Yeah, one of my friends had his router in the basement while he played from a bedroom on the second floor. One day he decided to move his router. It was a night and day difference for him. His download speeds were much closer to the speeds he was supposed to be getting from his ISP, and connection was way more stable too.
Glad I can help you troubleshoot, good luck!

Have you checked your router settings?. Also, which Xbox are you playing on?. Last gen or current gen?
Make sure that you have good security settings on your router. Are you in a well populated area?. I’m in the country part of Mullingar, With fibre internet. Just checked on my phone and I have 141.4 Mbps download and 28.9 upload, 7 ping. My XSX is on a wired connection to the router though
Just had a game where all my team got booted. It started with my team being cut in half and we were even chatting in the game saying what’s going on. The enemy team was fine with a full team but we got people dropping for no reason. Everyone was saying that the servers are terrible.
Happens everytime I try and play BTB
